That's debatable. I could debate it a lot actually, but I dislike the game so much that I don't even want to talk about that damn thing. I'll just say it was awful and leave it at that.Chapper said:Indeed, Majora's Mask was thouroughly a well designed game.
Was "A Link to the Past" a rehash of the original Legend of Zelda?Ninjamedic said:Oh great, another OoT Rehash.
How about some innovation please??
I fail to see how it is. Because in OOT you have to save the world in three days by sailing around the world, shrinking to small sizes with help from three friends by transforming into a wolf right?Ninjamedic said:Oh great, another OoT Rehash.

That is so true. Majora's Mask had the most raw emotion of any Zelda game I've ever played, and I've pretty much played them all (except for the shitty CD-i games, but the less said about those, the better). I recently did 100% runs of both Ocarina and MM for the hell of it, because I hadn't played them in years. It reminded how Ocarina of Time has one of the greatest final boss fights in the history of video games for one, but it also reminded me how great Majora's Mask was. Completing the final quest for the Couple's Mask was one of the most sombre, emotional moments I've ever seen in a game. I got chills. That game was criminally underrated at the time, but it seems that people recognize its greatness now. It's currently the front-runner in the final battle for Game of the Decade over on GameFAQs. Not that I care much about GameFAQs polls, but that's nice to see.Chapper said:Indeed, Majora's Mask was thouroughly a well designed game. Even the water dungeon was well done, and that's no small feat. Plus, the boss there still creeps me out.Dorkmaster Flek said:Snip
Now, the focus in pretty much any Zelda game is the dungeons, however, Majora's Mask had an incredible side to it which I haven't seen in any other games from the Zelda franchise. The somber mood, the masks, the characters and that dead deku kid you encounter at the start. It made the game unique, and I hold it up as the best Zelda game, ever. It created an atmosphere outside the dungeons which I truly appreciate.
Remember the guy in Icana Valley hiding in the cupboard? And the ghost of the dead Goron hero?
Saving them almost made me cry. Cry, damnit.
Majora's Mask has a strong character, and I want Nintendo to take as much time with Skyward Sword to make it unique in its own right, just as Majora's Mask was.
