Mkv --> MP4 conversion help please.

I have this mkv video file that I want to convert into mp4, but whenever I run it through handbrake, the audio doesn't get converted, and I'm left with a silent video.

Can anyone offer any help?

Huh... Well ffmpegX [http://www.ffmpegx.com/]? I don't know if it'll actually read the Matroska file, but DivX uses it now and it's supported so...

Well, the thing is, the audio of the Matroska file is in AC3, and Handbrake can only convert AAC audio tracks, so i'm looking for a converter thatcan convert AC# tracks, or a program to downmix the audio to AAC

Well the sample screenshot of ffmpegX, which I linked, shows a conversion of a video with AC3 audio to h.264 with AAC audio. It should work!

I meant AAC, or whatever it is. I have no idea. The Itunes format.

How big is the movie you're trying to convert? You could convert it on a friend's PC, or you could upload it to some file sharing site like rapidshare and I could convert it.

It should still be available on the site I grabbed it from originally, lemme find that...
