What? A MMO that I would actually like to play? No such thing. Unless you count Gunz: The Duel for a few minutes.

Check out Global Agenda by Hi-Rez studios. It's not really fps, but third person. Plays like a fps though. It'll be released sometime in the near future...

I wouldn't play any, because the one I would play I already play.
World of Warcraft if you're wondering. But you aren't wondering, you don't care about me, I play a mindless mmo full of assholes and trolls.

Naruto/Bleach, or one based off of the Shin Megami Tensei series, besides Imagine. Something more urban. There aren't enough urban MMOs.

Interesting, I'll check it.

And welcome to the Escapist, I look forward to hearing more from you. Maybe stick an avatar up if you'd like, so we can put a face to the name!

If Elder Scrolls got an MMO, I'd certainly check it out.
It's already well-suited to a multiplayer game, the only thing it would need is a bigger map, and possibly more questlines.

I would also play Elder Scrolls, and I would play...Erm...I dunno, one of those business tycoon game things? Those are always fun, and competing would be...interesting.

I already play a couple that are fun.

That said, I thought I heard somewhere that there was a World of Darkness MMO in development. If so, I would drop everything and play that.

I play EVE Online. Amazing game.

It actually requires a brain to play, so not too many people stick with it.
I can't think of any MMO that doesn't require a brain to stick with. Brainless players don't get very far in before slamming into a wall or quitting.

That would be neat.
Also: anything cyberpunk (even better: in the Blade Runner universe :D)

Most don't to be honest, but EVE will cave your face in with big heavy boots for looking at the UI wrong.
I played the 14 day trial, Christ I got ass raped sideways.

I'd love to see a better designed Perfect World, that game is in all fairness pretty good for a cash shop based MMO.
The grind is a little lame, the drops suck but with tweeks it can be alot more forgiving.

I also want Rf to hurry the hell up and release the updates we've all been waiting for, screw this 2.2.3 shit.

Pokemon would be interesting.
Some sort of RTS MMO could be fun if done well.
Old Republic looks like it may be worth 15 a month, if only to go Jedi and carve up all the silly 13 year olds who are planning to roll Sith because it's "dark and edgy".

An MMO based off of Vampire the Masquerade would be cool, but just add a few more creatures to play as or even as a human would be cool. I do fully intend on buying The Old Republic when it comes out.

I'm pretty sure a Giant Mech MMO would be the best choice. make the combat seem fastpaced and not just "stand in one space and hit buttons" and I think it'd be really great.

And just to jump in with everyone else, I'll be trying out the new Star Wars MMO as well.

Probably said before, just gonna support that person: I want to play a stargate MMO, but it has to be an RPG not one of those bloody card games and I can't pick 'Earth': I have to pick between a slave race(s)/Goa'uld (Factions?)/rebelling faction(s)/wraith/replicators/whatever.

The whole universe seems to be an incredibly interesting concept which is crippled by being shown through the eyes of Earth, which has an incredibly limited viewpoint in comparison. Also once you realise that most shows made by Americans (Even if filmed in Vancouver) treat Terrans in science fiction like they do Americans in regular fiction (Same goes for fantasy) you generally want to get as far away from them as possible and look at the viewpoint of other races, then justify their point of view until the Humans are the bad guys and you don't have to be ashamed of your thinly veiled biggotry.

Or maybe that's just me. Still though, Terrans within the SG universe only really ever explore and fight when they get in trouble, so eventually play would get boring.

Unless you wanted to do an alternate/future world where Terra has devloped a real stake in the Galaxy. That would be acceptable. The more I write the less I think someone came up with this idea before.

EDIT: For once I agree with the majority. When I learned that Bioware (A great Canuck company whose games I've always enjoyed) was going to make a star wars MMO (SWG NEVER HAPPENED) I felt so good I needed to change my pants.

I actually have never been screwed over in EVE, but I keep trading it off and on for WoW.

Always wanted a well done RTS-MMO, and the game Society looked promising, but it's dropped off the map since '06.

Also really want a good survival based MMO, one that took skill, you had to keep moving around; collecting basic supplies(food, water, medical supplies) while always keeping an eye over your shoulder; Setting up defenses for day to day situations; and periodic resource regeneration(Like in EVE, once an asteroid is gone, it's gone for 24 hours) so people can't just bunch up and stay in one place all the time farming the same spot. Some sort of Doomsday scenario would be good for that; like a Nuclear Apocalypse sorta game or a zombie MMO. (Was watching Exanimus forever, thinking it would be the one but then it dropped off the map as well.)
