MMORPG Moral Dilemma!

Imagine your at the last boss at the end of a really hard raid
Youv'e been waiting weeks for this chance and this boss drops a quest item that will get you some seriously sweet loot
The encounter begins... your mobile rings... its your Girlfriend/boyfriend (in this case lets say you really care for them) calling you
What do you do?

Ignore it. Then call them back when the encounter is over and simply explain that you were in the middle of something. That generally is good enough in my experiences.

My girlfriend hates me for my gaming addictions but she knows i mean well by it lol

Seriously, it's JUST a phone call. Anyone who has a relationship so unstable that not talking every time they ring you, no matter what, causes a problems; you've got bigger issues than not having the phat lewt you crave.

If this sort of thing is even an issue for you, you or your other half has massive insecurity issues. The only time (imo) it's justified would be in an emergency, i.e. they were driving home and ran out of petrol in the middle of nowhere, taking someone to hospital, etc.

I can imagine it going something like that:

(speaking fast)Sorry baby but im tanking Malygos and I really have to watch my rotations because the raid's dps are standing in a tripple buff zone created by a power spark that boosts their damage by 150% so I really have to crank out the threat or ill lose agro and we'll wipe.

Sadistic little gits eh? Favorite new phrase or something? I fail to see where sadism comes into play here.

Ignore it and call her back as soon as you're done. If she absolutely must have you pick up the phone exactly the moment she calls you, then she's too demanding, and this may be a symptom of problems you may encounter further down the line. If she understands, then you and her are compatible and she may be a keeper. I ignore plenty of phone calls and call back when it's more convenient, as a lot of my friends do. If you don't take too long to call back it's perfectly acceptable.

Yeh it is my new phrase but sadisicm (?) is bad too, But I Inferd from the OP that it is an important thing, and hence my reason for dropping anything if it is important. Would you not?

Not sure, it's never come up since my wife is the one that got me into MMO's in the first place and we game not six feet from each other.
On the other hand, in times when we aren't both home and something has been going on in game, the other has been told about it and knows not to call until recieving a call themselves saying it's over.
Sortof like jocks watching the super bowl I imagine.
As to those who scream multi-tasking, I take it they've never been in a decent raid. Pay attention to each of your 8 to 20 teammates, even when you aren't a "support class", pay attention to the main boss, pay attention to yourself, pay attention to any minions you may have, pay attention to any and all meters of each skill, spell, powerup, buff and so on that you control, as well as any placed on you by others in the group, pay attention to the boss' minions to keep their attention where it needs to be/ keep them from buffing/healing the main boss, pay attention to chat, both text, macro and voice, pay attention to combat information, pay attention for any sort of group skills that trigger and more depending on the game.
Plus pay attention to someone who I told about said event and help her decide what color nail polish to buy? Chartreuse, who cares, the phone is turned off.

If the WoW thing is really important to you, then what is so bad about getting the lesser result of a phone call? I mean, if I had a... well, I guess boyfriend, then I'd still know they made an effort to make me feel loved, and I could kill things, too.

Just call 'em back, I really don't see what the problem is.
