Moby Dick

Hiya escapists.

I've got a lot of time to spare right now (vacation, yay), but I've got nothing to do, I have basically spent the entire last month watching anime. So I figured, maybe I should read Moby Dick? I just really don't know if it is worth it or not.

My question for you is this. Should I read Moby Dick, and what do you think of the book?

I'll appreciate some advice, since I really wouldn't want to plow through all those pages to find that it is boring as hell. For your information, I am 16 years old, and have read two classics: Growth of the soil (hated it with a passion) and The great Gatsby (it was okay).

Read anything by Charlie Houston, if you like gritty crime stories. I particularly like the Joe Pitt series. It's the best vampire story I've read in years.

I enjoyed Moby Dick, but it does take a while to get into

Read John Dies at the End by David Wong; hilarious book with an intriguing story that I'm sure a 16 year old like yourself would enjoy, ie there's an abundance of penis related humor.
