Hugh Dennis does a large number of advert voiceovers and impressions. When he says that he's impersonating Sir James Saville O.B.E. which all you young ones won't remember. Google Jim'll Fix it.

Jimmy used to DJ Top of the Pops(Google it you whippersnappers) all the time during the 70's, and used to really like Showaddywaddy (Google it ) who are a Teddy Boy Leicester band.

Yeah, it's Andy Parson's voice I think. It has no emotion to it, not even a little bit of anger. He comes up with some very valid points and is an addition to the show (imo) but yeah, it's the presentation of his stuff.

David Mitchell is good on the show too! Even though I don't like any of the stuff he writes for TV. His opinion and natural sense of humour is spot on though. He sits quietly whilst everyone else has their say on an issue, inhales (Ace Ventura style) then just rants his ass off. My favourite Mitchell Outburst was on 'Would I Lie To You' when he heard about the Tory party's annual Mike Reed rapping session.

I think the main problem with Andy Parsons is that he doesn't really have any original jokes, he just repeats common sentiment about a particular subject in the same voice, the whole time. He is occasionally funny, but he is far too reliant upon his voice carrying the joke. He's pretty uninspired and thoroughly dull. Frankie Boyle is awesome, and you wanna know why...? Because he's Scottish

I enjoy the show when I can catch it. I was struck with how similar some of the segments were to some of the ones in Whose Line is it Anyway? though. Particularly the game where a topic comes up on the screen and the guys make funny about it is pretty much Scenes From A Hat.

Then I found out that the guy who created the concept for Whose Line is the same guy who created the Mock The Week concept and all was revealed. As a side note though, anybody who does enjoy thise show should definitly check out some Whose Line.

I don't see how is is an amazing comedian when his whole spiel is to come on and say somethign mildly offensive then reign in the laughs. There are other comedians who have done this so much better. Read: Bill Hicks

Mock the week is great, and I would suggest any of the Americans/ Aussies/ any one else who hasnt seen it to check it out online.

Frankie Boyle carries the show as it stands at the moment, but if he left I dont think that it would kill it, they just need to make sure that they get someone funny (i.e. not like Andy Parsons) to replace him, I'm thinking either Michael Macintyre or David Mitchell would be great.

Also it it just me that thinks the Russel Howard is great too, or is just becasue I'm from Brizzol?

Bill Hicks = smart bloke, good points, great jokes, bad delivery. Well it's not the same case as Andy Parson's but (imo) Hicks would say his bit, get a laugh and then just go on and on about what he'd just said, even repeating the joke once or twice. Most of his 90 minute shows could be cut down nicely to about 40 minutes or so.

Firstly humour about anything is allowed, it disempowers whatever is being mocked and hopefully makes it less of a worry and a threat to the general public at large.

Leave Andy Parsons alone, I like him! But he had a show on Radio Two for about three years and thats about how long it took for me to get used to his delivery.

I think that Frankie Boyle Leaving the show whould actually be a good thing, he can only sustain what he does for a finite length of time, he has already started recycling his stand up material in the show. Jokes he did about 3 years ago he is polishing up for the purposes of the show.

Russel Howard has always used his stand up material, he doesnt even change what he says just regugitating his routines, the thing about food during sex was a word for word retelling of the routine he did on Friday night at the Apollo with Jack Dee.

Hugh Dennis has always been a favorite of mine since the Mary Whitehouse experience and even I find the SHawoddy woddy schtick a bit tired now its been eighteen years Hugh! Give it a rest.

Oh and how can you not like Peep Show? Again it took me three series to get into it but David Mitchell is a comic genius. It would seem I miss out on most of the big new comedies, I hated the Boosh, Ideal and Peep show up until the third series then bang as if by magic I got them, anyway..

When Stuart Francis was on I was a tad disappointed as I thought it was him from Tiswas, but not once did he say "ee I could crush a grape!"

And with that oblique cultural reference I shall away!

I wouldn't be surprised if he does. All stand ups that appear on panel shows do at some point or another. Especially when the material is more opinion based than trying to structure a joke.....based. (I'm no help today, sorry)

Just so wrong its unbelievable. Alright the second series of the mitchell and webb look wasn't amazing, but the first is unadultered brilliance. and peep show has been genius from the first series right up to the last series. you comedy philistine.
