Amazing.

Someone taking a simply wonderful console, and turning into something quite portable. Huzzah, an xbox you can take on holidays...sure, you can take the normal one, but...meh :p

Incredible. How a single person can develop such a professional looking product, out of a static home console, requires skalent (Skill and talent, combined in a furnace of awesome).

This guy is an asset to consoles in general, why has he not been taken on with open arms?

Holy wow, that thing was loud.

That was very sleek-looking, though--he did a great job.

You hate something made for entertainment, you are cool.
That's like saying you don't like a TV show, then everyone gets pissed at you because it's "made for entertainment" and I should like it based on the fact that it's supposed to be good.
Not really, It's more like saying

"This show is horrible, why would anyone watch it? I am going to laugh when the actors die."
Haha, quoted for truth.

It'd be more fair to wish death upon the writers, though still not very nice.

2 questions:

1. battery life?
2. does it have a USB posrt in the rear for the wireless addon or does it have built in wireless

also i could not help but laugh at the war between jetstar and nilcypher, hint: the mods have different colored letters in their names

The casing does look bland, course it'd probably need to be for marketing reasons, but otherwise a neat concept brought to life. Make it RE red instead and I'd be all over it!

Awesome! Congrats to the modder for his amazing skills.

I definitely want one of those. Though I don't travel a lot to places where I can't plug an Xbox on to a TV.

On second thought...I still want one of those. :)

Pretty cool looking and more efficent than a normal 360 by the looks of it. It also goes to show you that one guy can beat a major company's idea of a console hands down.

Wow, if Microsoft will buy that, and revise it to perfection with his help. He may have himself a new mansion. I would buy it! Maybe in an Elite version?

they wont buy it.

They'll do one of two things. Hire him, get him to sig it all over then sack him.

or

Make their based off that design nd then when he kicks up stink, sue him for patent breach.

Remember this is microsoft not nintendo. They arn't fond of people making a better version of their own product.

Didn't we see this last year? Lacking any major advancement, this looks a lot like reporting the samestory twice.
I'm not sure if this was seen last year. According to the creators website(http://benheck.com/) it would be new news.

According to the video the only USBs are inside, which don't allow to keep them hooked up when its closed, but it's not like he could design it entirely from end to end. Maybe if Microsoft gets its head out its butt and realizes the design, and perhaps hire this guy, he can work the USBs to the rear or side like a true laptop. (And maybe find a quieter fan, since with that airflow it shouldn't need a jet turbine in it.)
