Since fallout nexus forums are pretty dead, i thought id give this forum a shot. Ive been googling this question for days now. Ive found multiple topics, but all went unsolved and abandoned. I have tried everything i know, but im going insane. I downloaded a nice list of mods for New Vegas, and i cant activate any of them. Some include the weather mod, the 2 huge gun mods that add a ton of new ones, the MoMod, and a few more. I cant tick the check box on any of them in Nexus Mod Manager (NMM) without it crashing right away. Even when i check the Honest Hearts DLC, it crashes. All it says is Error: Something bad has happened.

I have tried everything, deleted all of NMM including registries. Reinstalled game. Nothing, i mean NOTHING works. Ive turned UAC off since im on Vista, ive moved steam folder to c:/steam. Always the same crash, or access denied crash. I used to be able to mod the game fine, i also mod skyrim at the moment fine. Am i missing something, cause ive fought off nasty viruses easier than this mystery.

I have windows 7 (i'm not sure if this work on vista) and I'm using Fallout Mod Manager or FMM

I haven't got any issue besides a crash here (nothing serious)

So, that, try with another mod manager and maybe you'll get lucky. :)

Look at the brightside, I tried playing Dead Money on the 360 and it crashed everytime I tried to start it. I eventually tried it with a different character that I hadn't played since started my other one and it worked but I'm still annoyed.

I would buy windows 7 but i am just waiting for 8 because it should be out this year. And my problems began with FMM. There really is no way around this. It completely boggles my mind. Was just hoping someone knew a special way who had this problem but probably not. Never mind
