So well I was skirting the internet in my Zeppelin (It has enhanced radar now.) I realized how entertaining it is to listen in on multiplayer arguments. There's nothing quite as funny as hearing a moderator yell at a Minge for killing his pet zombie "Phillip", so that's why I'm here today. Do you have any stories about funny in game arguments with moderators or fellow player, rage inducing or otherwise? Well post it.

(Why no, I was not recently banned, do not be absurd.)

Some jackass on PSN kept bitching about me killing him ONCE with the M60. I don't have the energy to post the whole story as I have just come from an epic battle with Deviantart, but he was really fucking stupid, let me say that.

Let me guess, after you killed him he continued to attack you with an M60, didn't he?

One time I was playing HL2:DM on a puzzle server I was frequenting at the time. We were happily puzzling along, however, all throughout our happy times was this kid who would not stop jabbering on, either telling shitty jokes or just being annoying. After trying to put him down to no avail, we simply played on and tried to get used to it.

After a few minutes, he suddenly burst out with something along the lines of "WTF!!! YOU FREAK!!!" and promptly left the server. The admin then explained to us he privately messaged the kid asking him what he was wearing, and there were lols all around.

Your Admin deserves a medal.

So, what's a puzzle server anyway?

I would happily give him a medal, however his server and himself have dissapeared into the ether.

Puzzle servers consist of puzzle maps, which contain rooms with different puzzles in, testing skill, patience, team co-ordination etc. To reach the goal of a puzzle map you have to complete every puzzle.

They are extremely boring. However, the map lobbies usually contain fun stuff, like fairground rides, giant rubik's cubes and lightsaber arenas you can dick around with.

Sounds cool, by the way, why do people still use HL2:DM over gmod? Can it do anything that gmod can't or is it just a convenience thing?

Not sure, really, this was quite a while ago. I think the weapon mechanics of HL2:DM are different to those of GMod's. Maybe HL2:DM is more appropriate for straight-up deathmatch? Also I do know that it has lower system requirements than GMod. I'd still recommend GMod though.

That makes sense.

How so? In gmod you can alter players weapon loadouts for different gamemodes.

I'm not sure about it but I heard HL2 weapons in GMod operate slightly differently than they do in HL2:DM. I think they are minor differences, like the amount of spare ammo, animation, some other bits.

That's weird, why would they even change that for gmod?
