I'm cancelling my PC MW2 copy as soon as I get the chance. This however leaves me with a question :

"What other Multiplayer FPS should I pre-order instead for the same price?"

I was always a fan of Battlefield series (started at 2142 and play some BF 2 as well) so I was kind of leaning towards that series again. What do you guys think?

(oh, and wtf is the difference between Battlefield 3 and Battlefield : Bad Company 2?!? Is it actually 2 different games or just the same one with ppl refering to it with 2 names?)

They're two different games obviously. Just like Battlefield 2 and the first Bad Company are different games.

Anyway, I'd say Bad Company 2 is looking like the ideal replacement for anyone not getting MW2.

Left 4 Dead 2? fun coop zombie killing, play as the special zombies, cool melee weapons, and if you preorder you get a special bat( and a new hat if you own TF2).

thank you for clarifying. However the reason this perplexed me is well, why?? Why release 2 PC Battlefield games with the same type of setting?? (present day war)

Modern Warfare 2 looks only decent, so cancelling it is a great choice.
I'd get Bad Company 2, as it's previous one was fantastic, and 2 looks to be as well.

To try and make more money, and Left 4 Dead 2 is a nice substitute, I found it a little repetitive.

Same reason with Battlefield 2 and Bad Company 1 I guess. At the end of the day, they're actually very different games. BF2 is a traditional battlefield game, and BF:BC is a more story driven, mission based shooter.

Well... Yes and no, I mean BF BC 1 came out much later than BF2... it was like BF 2.5 (but console only, the way I see it). The thing with BF BC 2 and BF 3 is that well, they're the same type of game and are releasing at almost the same time... And I would understand if Bad Company 2 was Console and 3 was PC exclusives... but they're not... so I was puzzled.

Anyway, so ppl here recommend Bad Company 2 over BF 3. But why? In terms of multiplayer online games, wouldn't BF 3 be more geared for that? and Bad Company more for caompaign and story?

They havent announced battlefield 3 yet or mentioned anything about it so it'll probablly be released a long time into the future

As the other guy said, BF3 won't be released for ages yet, I don't know where you're getting your info from. Also, BF3 IS a PC exclusive.

Okay. That makes sense. Thanks guys for clarifying all this. I now successfully made myself look like a BF noob, but I guess that's what happens when you stop following the series and walk blindly toward shitty MW 2... I turned around now and I think I now have a sense of direction again. So I guess it'll be Bad Company 2 for me. Thanks again.
