...and it looks amazing - yes the quality is terrible, and yes its recorded from a camera, but this youtube video gives you an idea of what it'll look like.

Even if that climbing sequence turns out to be nothing more than a protracted quicktime event, this still looks like it will be awesome! There wasn't a whole lot that I didn't like about the first Modern Warfare, so as long as they didn't try to fix anything that wasn't broken, this should be excellent. I have faith that Infinity Ward wouldn't do something like that. Trying to fix shit that's not broken is Treyarch's job.

The E3 gameplay footage didn't impress me. It wasn't interesting in the slightest, just...standard. I'm going to need to see more to be convinced because I don't care about epic looking trailers, gameplay footage is what sells me and thus far it's very "meh".

I know but even then, it's just not special in any way and they failed to convince me why I should even bother trying this game over every other FPS. E3 is an opportunity to show WHY this game is awesome and why you should pick it up on release...and they failed to do that just showing another stock FPS in my books.

No, they don't have to agree, obviously; I just expected most people to see this as another CoD4 remake, as I do. That is why I think it's bad. Call of duty 4 was awesome, but I hated call of duty: world at war for being the same game with minor tweaks. After seeing the modern warfare two trailer, it looks like the same game is being released for the third time. The only addition I really noticed was the vehicle chase at the end, which I found to be a bit silly and uninteresting.

Right. Because the Escapist always agrees with your opinion.

Personally, I thought the snowmobile section looked pretty good.
But then again, not many people feel the same way about vehicle sections as me.
