They just need to advertise and hype the game more, and I mean good ad's not those shitty gamestop ones. Kick that hype machine into overdrive, ESPECIALLY use the internet. I'm not seeing that. Why do so many companies rely only on magazines and tradeshows (that only those magazines can go to)?

Like it really matters, any hardcore gamer and many casual gamers already call it Modern Warfare 2 since adding th Call Of Duty just makes it a mouthful. Anyone who has already wanted the game already know what it's called

I think it's a good step.
The first COD game had to make it's way into gaming fame on it's own, and then built up momentum from there.
MW2 is gonna have to do a similar thing, which could theoretically improve on the game, if the developers are forced to be less lazy in order to keep sales up

Actually a bunch of my non-gamer friends only have CoD: WaW because of Nazi Zombies and have no idea its a sequel

Well I'm gonna miss that title. It just has such a history behind it. Good times (Like Big red one and Modern Warfare)and Bad times (World at War....A very very big drop in the franchise.) But now it is gone and it will hopefully rest in peace.

Could you imagine if they keep the Call of Duty name, and later release a Game of the Year edition? The full title would be "Call of Duty 6: Modern Warfare 2: Game of the Year edition".
That's one long-ass title.

Havta agree with this, Infinity Ward should keep it as far away from association with Treyarch as possible.I'm not saying Treyarch are crap at everything,just think their involvement with the Call of Duty series hasn't done it any favours so far

Which is what I'm positive they will change it back to soon enough. I normally wouldn't assume so, but if they are claiming they want this to be the best selling game of all time then they need to call it Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. And I think they will, Activision are nice like that.

Okay let's lay down the brass tracks here. Yes, IW are infinitely better than Treyarch, but Treyarch are not bad developers, at all. Call of Duty's 3 and 5 were both solid and great respectively, but obviously not as good as 2 and 4.
