does anyone know if the ban hammer is going to fall soon in MW2 servers. I truly like playing the game and its usually fun (its to bad the match maker dosent work). However, there are an excess of hackers. Every other round it seems that someone is using a lag switch/aimbot/random hack. It reallk kills the fun. Earlier today for example, I was in a match and someone won 7500/2200 and his streak was 25-0. This has happened several times with different players. Since there is no ban hammer in sight and thus no penalties, lots of people are cheating and ruining the game for everyone else.

Im really just wondering if anyone knows if/how IWNET monitors their servers and if they actually ban people or not.

I'm not sure if IW monitors the servers.

MW2 on the PC uses Valve's Anti Cheat system, and thats not exactly the greatest around.

I'm assuming we're talking about the PC version here?

(sorry, but it has many more hackers)

Cheaters suck, we want them to stop, companies aren't doing crap, and we're disgruntled. Oddly the game will have less hackers a couple years after it loses support, won't it?

sadly, I think i'll have to agree with that. :p and yes, I am talking about the PC version. For everything it has over the consoles, it has just as many flaws. I would just like to see a company take care of their product in the way it is ment to be used. If I have to uphold my end of the EULA, then why dont they have an end to uphold? Sorry, but a game thats sixty bucks deserves to be enjoyed, not ruined because hackers/cheaters are abundant. It would be nice if the company showed a little interest in the product that they helped put on the market. Perhaps they simply dont care about the common person and are just a group of lazy execs and a low opinion of the layman. Maybe im right, maybe im wrong. In my mind, a product should be enjoyed once purchased. You shouldnt have to hound the company to get them to do something to help keep their product in good working order.

You have to understand something about IW - they're richer than Mega Jesus if he won Electric Jesus' lottery.

They don't give two shits about banning people or fixing their broken game because they have already sold it to half of all Xbox owners at least, plus way more in Rentals and Used Game Sales.

They're laughing all the way to the bank my friend, being followed by their hordes of cringing pack wolves who put up with this kind of bullshit from a game developer because they're too spineless to take a stand. Gaming would be a far nicer place in general if more companies listened to their consumers.

Well, they'll probably pick up on some of them soon, but they're already so abundant, and the hacks so easy to get hold of, that they will be there forever, unless IW randomly decides to start doing something.

Wait game companies make money off of used games since when (aside if they sell the used games themselves)?

VAC is good but requires input from the developers side, it can't magically detect new hacks. It's infinity turd's fault that it doesn't work, not Valve's.

And look at this from insanity ward's perspective: do they get any money from you for fixing the game? No since you already bought it.

No, I meant that they sold MW2 to half of all 360 owners, but way more people still played it through Rentals and Used Game Sales.

I'm so glad I stopped playing MW2... I feel so much happier not dealing with all that bullshit anymore. Freedom!

I doubt IW will fix it anytime soon, COD4 had a fair few lag switchers too.
