Modern Warfare 2 hacked on 360

So apparently i'm not the only one who experienced some strange happenin's in the past couple nights on Modern Warfare 2 on XBL. Some ground war and team deathmatch games had some peculiarities with them, including Domination games with no score limit or Deathmatch matches with infinite ammo, including no reloading and AC130 killstreaks raining down the 140 MM shells on par with submachine gun efficiency. Once someone dropped a nuke on a domination match and won, a message appeared complete with several random numbers and letters, but among them was the word 'virus.' Maybe someone hacked the servers? Can anyone give any insight to what's happened? I checked other gaming websites to no avail on the issue.

Why am I not surprised?

Not only does it seem like they can hack scoreboards, they can now hack the game itself.

Soon they will hack the story and make it so that there isn't any stupid plot-twists!

I play TDM and about 10% of deaths are from people going around a corner to shoot me in the head a mile away without having to search for me. Oh and I was barely noticeable on the killcams for the most part. I've seen pros play and the styles of these gamers aren't even close to pros.

Ya I keep getting dropped into never ending groundwar matches on Rust with about half the players camping at spawn points, I die like 3-4 times in just a couple seconds.

It isn't a hack. It is a bug caused by fixing the Javelin. IW has said they are working on a fix...

Yeah, for whatever reason, MW2 attracts a lot of glitches/hackers. From what I can tell, this is a glitch in the game.

In my opinion, any kind of FPS attracts griefers/hackers and people exploit glitches a fair amount.

I have MW2 for the PC (I've yet to have the "Damn, I REALLY want a dedicated server" moment) and I'm yet to see a single hacker. I've seen some good players and some stupid mistakes on my part but nothing that looks like a hack to me. Who knows, maybe the hacks are so good now that we can't tell a good players from a fair hacker.

Well, you can't fault them. They did fix the Javelin Glitch.

[sub]Even if it has now been replaced by a thousand worse glitches that mean I can't play anymore.[/sub]

That would actually be useful though, but what would MW2 be if it had a coherent plot?

OT:As much as i`d like MW2 perfectly fixed tomorrow it ain`t gonna happen , if i hear about glitchers still being around in a year`s time i`ll be suprised , but at the moment? that`s not even news

Well PSN is already hacked so this seems hardly surprising. Plus, a PSN version of this thread has already been made.

Not only that buts someone has also hacked so there is infinite ammo and no reloading time for the fucking noob tube and my ground war matches are jumping all over the place. I select GW and i suddenly end up playing free for all, and i know it's not my mistake because i am in a party with a friend and you can't play FFA with a party of 2 at all. It's has also hopped over to to become a private match that i never hosted or joined.

Hacker(s).

Eventually they will have their XBL accounts banned, but not before they wreck your fun for at least a month.

So far MW2 has been proving extremely easy to pull apart and alter.

I've gone into the Domination-Rust matches, but I haven't encountered the infinite ammo hacks yet.

I actually enjoyed it alot. I have to admit I'm not a great player and really did like the free kills but the thing I liked the most about it was just how fun it was. I always get too stressed out whenever I play so it was great to just mess around with unlimited ammo when no one cared about staying alive. I had more fun with those unlimited grenade launcher matches than I've ever had with MW2.

This makes me slightly happy and slightly sad that my 360 bricked.
Happy- I don't get to stand under the Rain of Fire
Sad- I don't get to participate in the massive amounts of XP going around
