It's all Activisions dark hand if I was to be dramatic. They are the biggest, most unethical, and heartless games devloper/publisher alive today and a monster that is growing and consuming smaller developers spewing out wildly successful remakes and feeding off the teet of the Blizzard side with World of Warcraft. These are dark times for the the future of gaming, if the community doesn't stand up to this corporate black hole then we could very well have a Microsoft situation on our hands. To clarify, one company holding presidence over a market(for this example, home Operating Systems) to such an extent they can either simply buy out or overshadow any promising smaller developers. This could very well be the first in a few warning signs that will litter the time we will call, the time we should have done something.

Activisions CEO is at the helm of this tide, crushing everything before him with his flagship company that no one dares question. His remarks of late I see as the beginning in him flexing his grip of the gaming community to see how much he can get away with. So far we have let him do as he will and despite the rage we will still buy there games. This among many reasons (not liking CoD4 online at all being, admittedly, a large factor) will prevent me from buying CoD:MW2. Not unless it's bought pre-owned where I know the money is going straight back to the shop I purchased it from rather than to supporting sales figures of Activision.

In conclusion; ActivisionBlizzard = Evil.

Eh, technology is ramping up and the quality of games is going up with it. As long as MW2 isn't a complete dissapointment, it seems like a lot of work has gone into it.

I've not bought a game for more than £30 for some time, and even my £30 purchases are at a rate of 1-2 a year, games I feel I just can't 'live without' for want of a better phrase. There's no way I'll be buying MW2 until it's safely at the £20 mark, given I refuse to pay more money for less singleplayer, and until I see other evidence, based on their past, this is going to be shorter than the last games.

I HATE Activision. They're worse than EA, buying up smaller companies in order to not go bankrupt. Except EA didn't try to screw over everybody (unless you count with their servers). First they try to cancel Brutal Legend, now and they're trying to screw over everybody in the UK.

They need to put Activison O2 back together. In my opinion, that was the only good division they ever had. Either that or get a new CEO.

Fucking thing is $120 here. I've sworn of all Activision games 'till they give a damn good reason as to why they're raising prices.
Not going to make a difference though, MW2 has already broken pre-order records. One person can't make a difference it seems.

One person with a mail bomb however...

Greed has taken over the publisher companies. [I hope Infinity Ward isn't behind the price rise]
Probably not. The developers always want there games to sell as much as possible. And anyone with a potato for a brain could realize raising the price would hurt sales.

Thank God I live in the US tho. I'd be going nuts now if i had to pay $90 for a game...

Hopefully nobody will buy it at that price and thus they will be forced to take a loss or lower the price.

Neither of which will happen.
