I was just checking my mail and noticed a "Game Planet" mail (a retail store here in Mexico) and was amazed to see this news.

pay special attention to the activities!!

Dear Costumer:

First of all, allow us to greet you. The reason of this mail is to remind you about the invitation to the launching event of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 that will take place this MONDAY 9 OF NOBEMBER AT NIGHT IN CINEPOLIS UNIVERCITY PLAZA ON MEXICO CITY.
We remind you now that the people that pre-ordered their standard edition with us will too be able to assist, including the pre-sales of the Prestige Edition and of the special edition console of XBOX 360 of Modern Warfare 2.
The steps are very simple:
1. - Go to your Game Planet store where you pre-ordered your standard edition, your prestige edition or your console and pay the 100% of your pre-order.
2. ? send us an E-mail to this address with your full name, your ticket number and the date of your pre order.
3. ? go to the University Plaza to pick up the pass that ensures your place at the event.
Activities:
- You will be able to play BEFORE ANYONE ELSE the game. We will have exclusive and worldwide the opportunity to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 all day on the University Plaza.
- We will hold tournaments in winch you can participate to take prices and have the opportunity to play in the elimination rounds and the final match on a movie screen.
- We will have the presence of the game producers, among which is the creator of the art for this great title. Both will be answering your questions and will sign your game copy.
- We will deliver your game at midnight.
The event is programmed to start at 11:00pm, but the tournaments will start since 7:00 pm and the registry is also open at that time, remember we only have 400 available spots and they are running out quickly. Don?t miss out on the biggest launching event in history!

Now, those activities are to die for, and I was wondering, what other launching events will take place in your region? I already heard of the ?play with the marines? one in the US, any others there will be?


BTW: i noticed this event is only for those who ordered the XBOX 360 edition (how cool, i was considering on getting it for the PS3 hehe)

i checked with the main site and other sourcess, its legit, and well... here in MX its the only way of checking for things, we dont have all that fancy internet thingy´s that make for secure exchange of information, so yeah hehehe
