Modern Warfare 2: Prestige Edition

So I just got a call from my local EB Games retailer asking me which pre-order MW2 edition i was looking for: normal or Prestige Edition. When I asked her the price, she said 169.99 (CAD). For those of you who are wondering "whats the difference?", its that Prestige comes with night vision goggles.

Night. Vision. Goggles.

Seriously, people. Who came up with this idea?

100$ for a pair of NVDs.

So, my question is, who would buy this..... thing?

And please give your rationale, not any of this " THEYRE NIGHT VISION GOGGLES!!!! DURRRRR!!!" bullshit I'm expecting to hear.

Considering most real night vision goggles cost more than the prestige packet, and without a what looks to be pretty good FPS game, I'd say that it's worth the money.
Of course, that's my opinion.
Which brings me to your opinion. If you don't like it, don't buy it. But don't ***** to people about something you don't find smart, or don't like.

Seriously though, who wouldn't want a pair of night vision goggles? You get to see in the dark, and feel like a stealthy stealthy ninja special forces guy. Or something.

Plus, they're fairly cheap for night vision goggles.

Actually, after seeing the video which COVERED THIS POINT EXACTLY, the goggles seem to be fairly good goggles.

And OP? It appeals to some people. Don't go oppressing their interests. Personally, I wont be buying the prestige edition, but I know plenty of people who will.

I got the Prestige Edition because I've always wanted a pair of night vision goggles since I was 11 years old. And I mean actual night vision goggles, not the Toys R Us, $39.99 ones that run on AA batteries.

you can get what seems like almost the exact same pair for around $50 on e-bay.

i cant decide whether or not to get the prestiege edition. i think i will get the hardened edition in order to have money to get assassins creed 2 on the 17th. then mabye i will buy the mw2 nvgs on e-bay, because i know someone will sell them there.

I hope everyone realizes there is no way in hell you are going to be getting an actual set of military-quality NVG's. They cost thousands of dollars per set, and besides, they could actually be dangerous if untrained people started using them.

The best you can hope for are a some goggles with a green lens filter and a light on the top.

I just seen a video for them. They work really good but they are not high end.
