Modern Warfare 2 Puts Entertainment Over Realism

I would've bought CoD 4 if it wasn't for the ridiculously short campaign. I don't play multiplayer, so shelling out 50? for 4 hours isn't exactly appealing.

So, all I hope for really is a longer campaign, then I'll buy it.

Yeah, we've know this since the first Call of Duty game. They are highly cinematic, linear, arcade-y games. But that's why we love 'em.

I don't care so much about ingame realism, beside graphics and sound. Then again, it's pretty easy to see that at least CoD 4 isn't very realistic. I would love to see a soldier use a 12 kg barret standing and perform a 400 m headshot. I'm not saying it's impossible but you will need arms the size of your thighs.

But yayz for snowmobile shootouts!

So aiming a pistol around a riot shield and getting head shots is standard practice in the anti-terrorism/ general soldiering communities? Vegas 2 was no sim.

Apparently there's no respawn points either. Like getting spawn killed at the start of search and destroy and having to sit the round out, only forever. Sounds shit, I'm not playing.

I only meant in the damage. Depending on the difficulty, one shot and your dead. I never said it was a shooter sim, I guess I over-exaggerated in my phrasing, But I found the damage to be realistic.

we're on the same page now. I know what you mean about damage though. I like the guns to have some stopping power. Its why I play CoD4 on hardcore.
