Well I'd assume that it'd be the same as COD4, or any of the CODs for that matter but I'm not really up on the UK's rating system.

Not all the COD's actually. WaW was an 18 classed by the PEGI which took over from the BBFC last month.

Considering how the first game was a 15 (and that had you dying in the middle of a nuclear strike, experiencing execution in the first person and had you snapping a dog's neck in self defense if I remember correctly) then I'm guessing that the second game will probably also be the same (they've already touched on pretty 'adult' or 'graphic' things and gotten away with it).

EDIT: CoD:WaW probably got an 18 rating because we tend to be a bit more touchy about the Nazi regime and because WWII was (as the end of the game says) one of the most brutal conflicts in human history.

Also, it had zombies (that normally gives most things an automatic 18 rating for some reason).

You need to wait until about two weeks before release date to know, they don't rate games until it goes gold.

I don't remember someone being stabbed with an ice pick while in motion though. This one IMHO will be a higher rating.

Fair point but I still think that doesn't really compare to the events I just listed from the first game (you stabbed people with a knife in pretty much all of the CoD games so I doubt changing it to an ice pick will really elicit much of a response).

According to the pre-order box I saw in a shop, it's probably gonna be 18+ in the UK. But then again, it also said "Age rating not confirmed" or something like that, so I'm not too sure.

You could be right. I just think stabbing in a cutscene might be considered a bit more brutal.

Reminds me of Mass Effect controversy for some reason. The media (who obviously didn't play the f*cking game) raged about how the game has basically turned into porn, when it Wasn't even the first game that did it. [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fahrenheit_(video_game)]

P.S. What rating was WaW? If this one is more violent than that one, then expect it to be rated higher IMHO.

EDIT: Just saw your edit. Don't forget the cutscenes with the Japanese were absolutely brutal in comparison to 4.

Hope it is more brutal, I like watching a more violent headshot from time to time.
