The point of this thread other than the no haters welcome? you are posting on the wrong site when it comes to mw3 and no haters.

The game hasnt changed at all since mw1 which was the only good one. I don't hate mw3 but i will criticize it for being the same game. I don't doubt that it will be more polished than its previous ones. I just wonder if the makers have figured out how to tone the game down compared to the makers of blops.

Dude, including in your thread title "HATERS NOT WELCOME" is practically a neon sign saying "Hey everybody! Let's start a flame war!" My advice, remove it from the thread title and save your sanity.
I think that anything with "Modern Warfare 3" in the title is bound to attract those elitist snobs who think that COD is beneath them, who have nothing to say but sarcastic and hateful remarks towards MW3, regardless.

P.S. I'd say that an ever worsening plot, is at least better than no plot (I'm looking at you Super Mario Galaxy 2).
To be fair, do you really want a plot to explain how a fat Italian plumber who can breathe in space, and crush creatures beneath his incredible mass, saves a princess; a green dinosaur who can eat monsters and turn them into eggs assisting said plumber; a Princess to a Kingdom populated by little mushroom people, stolen by a fire breathing Turtle, and rescued by said plumber can even EXIST? Because I'm pretty sure the only way to make it plausible would be to include various solvents and drugs with every purchase and instructions of when to use them.

Seeing as Modern Warfare 3 is coming out in a couple months, I can't wait to get my hands on it. All the innovations and new features they're adding to the multiplayer really makes me excited to play. The weapon selection, to me, seems like the perfect blend between the guns we know and love making a return, and adding some new, oddball guns to the mix. I'm looking forward to trying out the new Type-95.

Unfortunately, there still seems to be a ton of haters, mostly on this site, and the game hasn't even been out yet. It does not matter what MW3 does. Even if it cures cancer, and solves the world hunger problem, these people would still hate the game's guts. And for what? Because it "looks" like MW2 graphics wise? Well, I guess, but remember, it's the gameplay that counts. The fact that it looks like it's predecessor, gives the developers more time focus on the gameplay.

Anyway, so what new features and innovations are you, the decent people on this thread, looking forward to in MW3? And please, no haters.
Actually a large proportion of people who have already played MW£ have said it plays exactly like MW2, although I have heard a lot say that "It is to be expected 'cos it runs on the same engine" which just makes me cringe ...

I am looking forward to pissing off kill whores, they may be able to kill me but that will not ruin my point streak. The support class may not have the most lethal point streaks but it does have a few lethal ones.

The new game mode "kill confirmed" is so weak in terms of innovation, it's just TDM mixed with scavenger ... whoopy!

I do like the class thing but it still has quick scoping so who knows how balanced it will be.

Well every 2D/3D Mario game game plays exactly like the last 2D/3D Mario game, and you don't hear people complaining about that series.

Actually I believe most of the "hating" comes from the fact that Infinity Ward/Activision/Whoevermakesthoseabominations can shit out one of these games every year or so and it sells better than any other game that's actually interesting.
Like a production line.

Erm, yeah ... they do.

I have seen a bunch of threads on this site about Nintendo releasing a "new Mario", which is exactly like every other Mario. It's just complaining about it, isn't going to change it.

I just can't be too excited about a game that plays exactly like a game I played 2 years ago, I m looking forward to it but not THAT much.

my only problem with MW3 is that the games multiplayer is almost sure to be unbalanced and less team focused just like MW2. Now im probably the only one who liked the single player so it not like i dont like the game just the unbalance that comes with it in the multiplayer.

It's nice to see Activision doing a few things right with this installment. The re-introduction of dedicated servers for PC is a nice admission of how stupid it was to remove them in the first place. Also I've noticed that they've dropped the price, at least on Steam, which is a positive when MW2, (a nearly two year old game,) still sells at pretty much release price, (one of many reasons I never played it.) Other than that it looks like an adequate addition to the series. Which I suppose is a little disappointing given that this is suposed to be, (I think,) the finale story-wise for the current Modern Warfare arc.

I kind of wish there were fewer people busting a nut at the release of each Call of Duty game. I feel that if people were more hesitant instead of "SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!" Activision, Infinity Ward and Treyarch would put a little more effort in. It's no secret that the single player campaigns have been getting shorter, worse and more ridiculous and given that the multiplayer is additional maps, weapons and a few experimental gameplay tweaks... well I just think it would be a positive if the three aforementioned companies didn't know that so many will buy no matter what, if they knew their customer base was a little picky and demanded quality with their ridiculous popcorn-blockbuster over-the-top gun-wank.

By the way I'm not a 'hater', I've just been disappointed by the Call of Duty franchise and its fanbase. Say what you want about haters but at least they're better than the group who buys on release and complains for the rest of the year before lining up on release day for the next game to start the whole process over again.

I'm definitely looking forward to MW3, and most of the things they've shown so far look really interesting.

There's some pretty cool stuff like point streaks instead of killstreaks, which will hopefully get the campers out of their corners every once in a while in objective games, but I'm still a bit worried that killstreaks are stackable again. Depending on how effective some of them are, it might just end up like MW2, where getting up to 5 kills to get the predator missile was basically the "I win" button.

I'm also still waiting for them to screw up the weapon balance somehow. $5 says they announce a new sniper rifle that can see through walls. Also not particularly happy that the heartbeat sensor is making a return.

I am still very excited for the balancing they've done though. No commando, no last stand, and the death streaks seem to only be minor things for the most part, so I'm totally happy with that.

Now the only thing really left to worry about is their plan of releasing a new map pack every month at $15 a pack.

I think, that MW3 is going to be the swansong of the franchise, with all it's laserguns and aliens invading New York. Not that I think the plot is uncreative, but it's time to put CoD to a greener pastures and focus on something else, perhaps a Farmville-copycat. That would bring something new to the soup!
Yeah I'm pretty much here. CoD was fantastic when it first came out. Right up un-till MW1, the game has not change enough since then.

So, OP can talk about innovation and all that, but I just don't see enough of it.

I'll pick it up at some stage, but at ?20 or so, same as MW2.

Well, the Black Ops campaign was actually decently long for a shooter, took about 10 hours to finish, and had a crapload of different settings, and lots of mission variety, and even a decently entertaining story if you don't take is seriously and just go "WOOOO, EXPLOSIONS!"

Can it be said that the campaign was good, creative, and original? Lol, not by a long shot, but I think you can make the argument that the campaign wasn't exactly short for a shooter (especially when playing on anything higher than easy, since you'd have to restart every checkpoint like 12 times).
