you can like it and enjoy it but you cannot say it is a "new" CoD, nor can you say it is a good game... you can like it but it is not a good game.
It's a new CoD, and it's a good game. In my opinion anyway.

Does anyone else think MW3 is kinda the "Director's Cut" edition of all the CoDs ever? So much stuff is reused (the interface is a direct copypaste from MW2) but tweaked ever so slightly. It's like the same but different at the same time...
Other than what Wykydtron said, You're wrong - It's not a new CoD, it's another CoD; and your opinion is not "it's a good game", it's you like this bad game in particular. Probably because you have short experience in gaming / computing and are unaware of what makes a good game.

For instance, a good game has to be worth its value, uniquely entertaining, a friendly UI to users, and be robust (or at least micromanaged by the devs to keep on top of the problems). CoD MW3 is only 1 of these things, the UI.

Thank you for your input Mr. Pretentious. But I would rather not be dragged into a flame war because our opinions differ.

Who the hell are you to judge what makes a good game? Seriously though, if you hate the game so much then just stay away from any discussion about it and stop thinking about the game too. Something tells me there's another reason people like you cover forums bitching about Call of Duty.

This is one of the stupidest (not to mention utterly pretentious) posts I've ever read in this site. Congrats.

COD is worth its value and uniquely entertaining to many, many people. If it wasn't, people wouldn't keep playing it. Just because you think it's a bad game doesn't make it one.

This is coming from someone who has been gaming since the early 80s by the way so don't bother with your faux patronising 'you haven't played enough games' argument.

- Hmm...this Kill Confirmed gametype isn't too bad. Stops campers for sure. snip
Yeah, it's a damn good thing they almost directly copied that from Crysis 2 ain't it?
/end asshat moment

Okay, I'll add something more here:
Can you answer me one question, is the aim assist permanent again? if it isn't, is it changeable across all game modes, not just the MP like in BlOps?

- Why do the guns all sound tinny and hollow?
I might be the only person in the world who cares so much about this that I'd consider that a complete game breaker. Bad sound = no immersion whatsoever.
The gun sounds really are bad.

What are these new streak systems like, and how many opportunities will they give overs to fuck me over with?

So is the support thing a game breaker already?
The streak system breaks down into assault, support, and specialist.
Assault is basically all your offensive killstreaks like predator, AC130 etc.
Support is all team buffs, drop flak jackets, get recon planes, turrets etc.
Specialist just just a really odd mix of different stuff.

The reason why support is insanely OP at the moment is because everyone is fighting with very basic loadouts and the support is basically UAV spam, and advanced recon which is basically the blackbird from BOps. Plus on death they don't lose their killstreaks where assault and specialist do. And the addition of the flak jacket, which is pretty much like having 2 health bars is insanely strong because you rack up gun kills really fast. Once people start getting better and better the assault and special ops are really going to shine. All the air from assault is just insanely strong, hell your basic attack helicopter will actually fly around and tear people apart. The only reason people aren't really seeing them is because everyone is running around like a maniac and people just aren't getting the really high killstreaks.

Eventually they will balance out, hell the support actually needs like 18 kills for some of their really awesome stuff while the awesome stuff opens up for assault at like 5-7, also assault and special ops have their killstreak kills count towards their next killstreak, whereas support does not. So it is balanced overall, but now that everyone is just running around with really crappy guns and perks, the flakjacket/UAV combo is just insanely strong for support.

There are three streak systems. One has primarily killstreaks like Pred Missile, AC130, Helis, Airstrikes, etc. The other is the Support Steaks which has almost no killstreaks that actually kill, but killstreaks that support your team like UAVs, Little Birds, Care Packages, etc, the Stealth Bomber being the only streak that kills. Killstreaks carry over deaths, but everyone fails to note that this means that killstreak rewards can only be earned ONCE A MATCH (Unless I'm wrong by assumption and as soon as you get the highest reward, it resets and you can get more rewards)

The last is the specialist, which from what I understand, gives you additional perks as you get higher killstreaks. Ahem... If Wiki is correct, which I doubt and hope it's not... At a killstreak of 8 you will receive all perks (That means every perk from every category I assume) until you die again. At 2, 4, and 6, you get a new perk which you choose.

The above is untrue. Specialist only gives you three perks for a total of 6. A you can earn Support KSRs multiple times in a match.
