Nope, the Time Magazine fake-cover is pretty great advertising, but I loathe the way that CoD has veered. I may be an old fart, at 26, but I've played FPS since Wolfenstein and I've never experienced more controller-breaking-rage than the newer versions of CoD. I just can't stand fighting on maps that are smaller than my galley-kitchen.
MW blows specifically because of the tactical nuke. I never gave a damn about CoD prior to Black Ops because I've played enough Nazi shooters since Wolf3d to make my head spin. Black Ops was more my thing because the subject matter was more of what I am interested in from a historical context... however, I do believe that the gameplay could have been altered a tad to reflect this.
Definitely going to buy it, the question is when. First I'm going to wait to see what comes with the limited/hardened editions. But, I probably won't preorder or buy it on release day. Why you might ask? Black Friday is damn close to the release and for Black Ops, Modern Warefare 2, and World at War someone always has the darn thing at a relatively good deal. Hell last year amazon had BOps (very limited number of copies, though I still got one) for the PC for $20. Definitely not going for full retail price when deals are most definitely around the corner of the release. I think I can wait and save me some cash.
