Wut?
Drop shotting is the cheapest, dirtiest tactic I have ever encountered, it's not a skill, it's a reflex to any sign of danger.
"Derp, here comes a person, I'll drop to the floor then shoot him, hardy har, because I lack the skill to win a fair firefight"
Yes, I could go around aiming at the floor, but I don't want to, because then you will get people jump shooting you.

Here's an idea, ditch going prone altogether, drop shotting arseholes will disapear overnight and those 'pro reflexes' will be used more on actually being good than it will on being some loser who drops to the floor at the first sign of a person.

Yes. I have seen team mates try to drop shot me, because it's so ingrained into their nooby psyche that they don't even check for friend or foe first, they just do it out of nooby habit.

Well given that I have never seen a server ban drop shooting but have seen them ban a multitude of other things from perks to weapons to kilstreaks to bunnyhoping and have never even seen a competitive CoD 4 game ban it yes it is perfectly fine. If you can't shoot someone who isn't moving you have a problem. Also you don't have to aim for the floor just the waist and they will die 9/10.

Also, I understand the hate for MW2, but to me Blops felt like a step back in the right direction. (though still not as good as MW1)
This. Treyarch knew MW2 was a hot mess, and attempted to clean it up. But I don't think anyone could've cleaned up Infinity Ward's atrocious mess, filled with action movie references, overpowered guns, tons upon tons of glitches, and a perk that made me grind my teeth; Danger. Fucking. Close. It would've been fine if IW put in a counterbalance to the perk, and Blast Shield doesn't do its job NEARLY as well as Flak Jacket does. /rant

But yeah, I won't have any cash for MW3 anyway, so why am I complaining...

Well I've seen serves banning people for speaking out against furry porn sprays. Moral of that story? Rules are based on admin bias.
I'm sorry I just have a hell of a lot more respect for people that can outshoot me on a level field, than I can because they drop under my perfectly aimed shots.

You really want to save cod? Ditch knives and burst fire guns. All I ask.
Honestly, Having only played a bit of COD4 (really, I dont even count it as having played, as it was for 2 minutes as a buddy of mine took a piss), I dont know if these were better or not than what currantly exists. But the above comment (minus the Burst fire), in my opinion, is the only thing that can save COD.

I have ideas myself, but to list them would take way to fucking long ATM, but suffice to say, it replaces some of the currant systems like killstreaks and borrows from a few other games.

I've recently started playing Modern Warfare 2 again, it's not as bad as it used to be, trust me. It's way better now.

While I'm not getting it, I'm still really disappointed that there are only 1 new weapon for every type of weapon(Not counting handguns though), from what I could see, that haven't been in any other CoD-game.

Wait so if you go for the Underslung ProPipes (yeah I'm calling them ProPipes!) or Shotgun you have to relinquish a perk?

That's pretty cool, I love the UnderSlung Grenade launcher, and having the crutch of removing a perk then I've got another reason to rub Miracle Of Sounds face when I blow people to oblivion on Afghan!
*whoops for joy*

The online component of MW3 has nothing to do with battlefield 3, you might be in the wrong thread.

Yet you completely ignored the fact that it is available for use in competitive play and whether you have respect for it or not does not make it less legitimate. It is hardly like a noobtube on HC where you have to roughly aim it at them or a P90 where you just spray in general direction=win. In certain competitions you can only use Stopping Power and Deep Impact and many weapons are removed too many to mention. Although I can't think of a single serious scrim where P90 was allowed or Claymore.

I haven't had much problem with the commando douches, but the noobtubers are the ones that's been the most annoying. But it's rare my buddy and I ever get in a match with them. We've been getting in a bunch of good matches lately and the other night we played 24 matches in a row and won the first 23, it was sweet.

Level 5 Armor - Reduce received damage (excluding headshots), reduced movement speed and vision; Pro - Reduced effect from Flashbangs
Stopped reading there.
That perk wouldn't be bad you'll stick out like a sore thumb because of the armor. The damage might end up being 6-7 shots instead of 2-4. Plus the reduced speed would effect everything reloading, stance change(drop shooting usefulness basically removed), throwing grenades(can spam all your nades in one go), aiming down the sites(no quick scoping), etc. plus a reduced vision you can't see that well so you'll get flanked all the time. Overall this is a noob perk they'll see this as something broken but overall it's shit it puts you at more disadvantages then advantages. Finally look at the rest of tier 2 perk all of them make Lv5 Armor more of a waste of time.
Actually it's the perfect camping perk.

It gives you more health, and allows you to see through flashbangs. If someone is sitting in a corner and holding down a room, it'll take more than one person to take them out.

When sitting in a corner and aiming down sights the entire time the movement speed, reduced vision, increased ADS time, none of that will matter, so for campers this perk will have absolutely no downside.

The worst part is that a huge amount of the cod population ALREADY plays the game like this, and having this perk will just exacerbate that.
An easy way to fix the perk is that they're always on the map UAV or not and when they fire an unslienced gun they really show up on map, so they can't hide. They'll be a massive target even if they're using hacker when your own radar goes out you know your very close to them plus most won't even use it they'll use either marathon or commando to counter attack the movement debuff.
The problem with your idea is that there aren't any perks that are counter-balanced to make them worse in some way. The only "downside" to using a particular perk should be that you can't use the other perks in that slot. If you have to artificially create some kind of downside to the perk, then the perk is unbalanced to begin with and should not be in the game. It's just that simple.

Am I the only person here who actually liked MW2 and hopes that MW3 is more like it?

It may have had it's problems but it was so crazy and over-the-top that it actually felt fun, like being in the middle of a big, stupid Michael Bay movie. People may see that as a bad thing because military games are SERIOUS BUSINESS and hate that comparison because MICHAEL BAY IS THE DEVIL, but I don't.

DH:

You got that far? I stopped at the attachments.

Fury:

Don't get me wrong, I loved MW, but game development is much more than a list of guns, attachments and perks... I do like the bits about stronger map clipping and no knife lunges... I can't count the number of times I died to a knife from a guy across the room... *sigh*

Modern Warfare 2 would have been an amazing game if Commando, grenade Launchers, and secondary Shotguns had been patched out entirely.

Honestly, the only thing MW3 needs to do is copy CoD4, and remove grenade launchers altogether. There is no reason to have that bullshit scrub launcher in a game that strives for balance.

What?

Its Blast Shield/Flack Jacket, but with 2 negative side effects instead of none like in older games.
No. It's Blast Shield/Flak Jacket/Juggernaut.

OT: So, basically, you've taken some parts out of CoD4, some parts out of W@W, and some parts out of MW2, and tried to RAM THEM ALL TOGETHER.

It wouldn't be balanced. At all.
