And what's up with the new Doctor's outfit? Time was he wore absurdly ridiculous scarves, capes and coats that somehow worked.

He's wearing a bow tie...how is that not ridiculous? Also, besides number four, what other Doctor has worn ridiculous scarves, capes and coats? Okay, a couple have worn coats, but that's not ridiculous, that's just awesome.

So do you think this Doctor's outfit is the ridiculous one out, or is this outfit like the others? You can't have it both ways.

It's usually pretty hard to define what makes all the Doctor's clothes unique. I guess dreary might be the word I'm looking for.

IMO the new Doctor's clothes look dull, mostly because of that coat (I didn't really like 7's outfit either, as a matter of fact).

No, I'm saying this one is wearing a ridiculous bow tie, and several have worn ridiculous outfits, but none have worn capes, and only four wore a scarf.

But my favourite outfit is the one nine wore. Simple, bad ass, awesome.

I think three's cloak looked a lot like a cape at times, and with the frock and jacket it's recently become my favourite outfit (well, actually it's either that or ten's outfit). Four's outfit was recently downgraded to second favourite for this reason. But they're all pretty much awesome which is why I was disappointed in the new outfit at first.
However, while the new outfit looks dull, maybe Matt Smith can wear it right, can fit it with his Doctor and make it awesome (watch out for the bowtie, it may be making a fashion comeback).
