So... Desert Bus with Game Development instead of a horrible game? Awesome.

I really hope RTS pulls out of the top spot. Just because it's a genre that doesn't seem like it'd mix well with other genres, and would likely end in frustration. Or because I don't like it. One of those reasons. I am interested in seeing Steampunk Ancient Egypt though. That sounds interesting... though Serious Sam already cornered that area. I'd prefer Steampunk Candyland.

Hasn't that already been done [http://www.finalformgames.com/jamestown/]?

...and I'm hoping for the genre to be Peter Molyneux, though it looks unlikely at this point.

I was going to donate but then I saw that steampunk was winning. Needless to say, do not want.

I want a post apocalyptic dating sim.

(I went for a Shoot 'Em Up Fantasy game, in the hope of helping create something like Skyrim 2033)
If you mean like Metro 2033, I don't think you know what a Shoot 'Em Up is. Think Galaga, but with more bullets, at least 10x more bullets and enemies, that's a Shoot 'Em Up.

Heh, I know - but when I voted, FPS (more Metro) and Horror were wayyyy near the bottom of their respective polls so I was hoping that by bigging up Fantasy and Shoot Em Up I could be part of assisting in the creation of Skyrim 2033 on shoot 'em speed (basically, an attempt at tactical voting...which failed). I wonder if the creation tools for Skyrim allow for Lydia with a shotgun. Or is she more an AK kinda girl?

Right now, though, it looks like we're getting an RTS Shoot 'Em Up set in Steampunk Ancient Egypt...er...

Im gonna have to give it a pass, im going to be busy doing something seriously awesome this weekend.

EDIT: Did vote for a Fantasy Dungeon Crawler though, neither is at the top but I wouldn't mind it being Steampunk themed so long as it isn't an RTS.

If you search hard enough, you will find that which you seek. I already have 2 dating sims which spring immediately to mind. Wouldn't fit the steampunk theme perfectly, but it sorta reminds me of it, definitely post apocalyptic though. I assume you mean visual novels or something similar when you mention dating sims yes?

Honestly, I don't really care. I just voted for that because I thought the result would be ridiculous. I never really had any intention of playing the end product.

I also just wanted to expresses my hatred of steampunk.

Sounds good. Would you kindly tell us about these two sims?

Sekien no Inganock, the world is filled with monsters and alot of people are some form of mutant or creature, main heroine is a doctor who I THINK works for free or for very little charge and after getting into a rather dangerous situation, finds out he has an ancient power people thought mythical. Not exactly steam-punk themed, but gives off that kind of vibe. The other is called ARS:MAGNA which I haven't played yet, but the cover makes me think it's steam-punkish.
