"Lick it hard, Lick it good. Lick it just like you should. My neck, my back, lick my homemade ice lolly..." I am going to get a ban aren't I?

Ever had moments where you hear, see or just witnessed something that made your mind shut down and just have a message pop up saying, "Da fuck was that!"

I remember the time in college where a class mate said, "Black people will be extinct in the next 50 years because Interracial relationships and their mixed race kids will wipe us black people out".

From one black person to anything, "NIGGA!! DA FUCK YOU SMOKING!" Yeah, my brain just shut off about how stupid that sounded.

How about you? What thing, maybe recent, made your brain do an anti virus and malware scan to make sure you are still okay after seeing something bizarre.

I think we need to clarify a few thing, or at least establish degrees of What-the-fuckitude.

I get pretty indignant What the Fuck?! whenever I hear Bill Maher talk about millennials, how they're lazy, and losers who are too used to getting porn for free or how social media is just dumb or how we never learned the value of hard work. Makes my brain boil.

I remember once a college friend of mine came over to drink/play games/watch bad movies and such. And he had WAY too much to drink. WAY! Like liquid vomit into the bushes drunk.
and the next day he wakes up, hung over as fuck, and stumbles off the couch to take a shower. When he got out he asked me for a ride to a hotel clear across town where, and this the part that made my gobsmacked, he was already late for his fiance's graduation brunch with his soon to be in-laws. And he was so hung over he probably had a headache for days.

I don't know if this counts as the type of "Wait, What?" your referring to but

I beat Mafia II and without going into major spoilers, well lets just say that in several reviews, people suggested "The story was so good and that ending made me cry", the story was decent (not exactly tell tale or the witcher but decent) but I don't get the ending, something happens to a character(if you played the game you know what) and all I could think was "Wait? Is this how the game ends? WHAT? SRSLY?"

I dunno, thats just me though

I was watching the news a few weeks ago, and a prominent politician either in the Philippines or Indonesia, I can't quite remember which, was deploring a gang rape that had happened in his prefecture. Business as usual for ministers of state I thought, until he said that although the crime was a travesty, he was disappointed that he did not get a turn because the victim was "quite beautiful".

....What in the actual fuckery!?

Oh, boy I have heard people say a lot of silly stuff that made me raise some eyebrows. I'm going to bar stupid stuff I heard on the internet from this post or I could be here all day.

I have studied philosophy and when people get confused in abstract discussions they can end up saying really weird things. Like a person that asked a TA whether actions have an effect on the world. I saw the TA stumbling over his words, trying to think what the student might mean, because he couldn't imagine that the question was meant literally. I think it was.

In another discussion about the nature of color the subject came up that apparently (and this might very well not be true for all I know) in Japan there is a single word for what we regocnise as blue or green. (I believe it was blue or green, might have been red and orange, not really the point) One student was very confused by this, because she couldn't imagine how the japanese thought children how to draw if they couldn't distinguish primary from secondary colors.

I also recently had a young girl volunteer at my door asking me for money to help prevent FGM. I don't know how or why exactly but I asked her where precisely her organisation was active. She very clearly didn't know but what was more schocking to me was her actual answer "the poor countries". I tried to ask which poor countries to which she replied, "well, you know, everywhere not here". She was rather annoyed and a bit upset that this answer didn't satisfy me. She assured me that she knew what she was talking about because she had followed a course on the matter in school.

Sounds like the Philippines. If you need an example you only really have to look at what people like Duterte say. It's a tough guy culture that encourages police to be able to act with impugnity, and encouraged to do so as any police complaints is taken as a sign that you're 'aggressively pursuing' and fighting crime.

Given people are terrified of crossing key political entities... the tough guy rhetoric bleeds into smaller political officers, police, and even high scale business owners.

You get bullets put into your luggage if you make a big thing of going there. Customs will open your bag, look you in the eye, and you'll have a rifle bullet in a luggage pocket, or on the top of your pack and they'll say: "Thank you for visiting." Intimidation and thuggery. The strong arming by police has reflected in the brazenness and open hostility of organized crime.

Pretty much any stupid shit I read on Tumblr, but the one that kicks me offline, threatens to burn down my internal software and tries really hard to convince me to fly out and murder someone is this kid who thinks he has D.I.D. and Handsome Jack is his alternate personality. I've heard of "fictional projection", I guess (still stupid but whatever) but this kid, ohhh man. It's, like, the most arbitrary fake shit ever. "Jack, you dick, why did we have DONUTS for breakfast. I hate donuts." "HANDSOME JACK WHERE DID YOU GET THESE HANDCUFFS IN MY POCKET" and my favourite one that I read before my brain kicked me off my login, "It frustrates me when I see other people with their own Handsome Jacks".

Then again, pretty much anything that's not pretty art or .gifs on Tumblr can be described like the OP; blink stupidly, try to get your brain to just stop and shake your head like "what even". Then try to move on because it's still against the law to kill people.

Also the whole Bioshock story thing. Pretty big mind fuck right there. Does that count?

The Escapist's new direction.

Too easy? Okay, okay.

Game-wise the first thing that came in my head was the half-way point of Condemned 2. It was all spooky horror shit with excellent melee combat. And then...

[HEADING=2]Suddenly! Scream-o super powers![/HEADING]

Like...what? What? What?! That just...no.

In the serious realm, Donald Trump's political succes story truly made me feel like this. How did he manage to get the "You know what you get with him, he's always straight." reputation?! He constantly flip flops! To polar extremes even! All the time! It's all right there! Not even hidden or something! What the fuck?!

The same word for two colours? That does make me curious though. How do they verbally distinguish them? Some kind of prefix or something?

Like I said, I haven't checked any of this myself, and the discussion was at that point pretty derailed, but as far as I remember the point was that they don't verbally distinguish them except when learning another language in which those colors where distinguished. If they came in a situation where distinguishing was needed (and how often is it, really, that the difference between green and blue matters) they'd need to come up with a way to distinguish the colors on the spot.

I don't know if this is true but it doesn't sound entirely implausable. Color is a spectrum afterall. Most people don't distinguish between blue and cyan and there are different shades of green that could have different words but don't.

That is pretty much every death reaction I had in Dark Souls 2, because the hitboxes were so mindblowingly godawful that I couldn't help calling bullshit whenever I'd die to a hit I quite clearly dodged.

That A.I neural network written movie script turned into a movie. It was a wonderful example of actually decent acting with incoherent... everything.

I won't say it was god awful as it was... if you consider beautiful chaos out of seeming natural chaos, it's brilliant. But it is serious: "What the hell is going on?" Why did he vomit an eyeball?

Speaking of Tumblr;

"White people are racist by default. I don't care if they think they aren't and they don't act racist but they are still racist by default!"

I... I just do not understand Tumblr at times. That line kept being reposted (reblogged?), and I have no clue if that was parody or someone was really really serious. If it's the latter, dear God!

From someone who is black, I agree with you. If I was ever in the same room as that guy, I would smacked him for saying such stupidity, or any one that agreed with him.

Anyone who says that video games endorses rape or rape culture. No, fuck you assholes. That is no different than what Jack Thompson said about violent video games turning kids in to murderous psychopaths. This was started thanks to Ms. She-shall-not-be-named, and the jerks that overreacted to her.

Moviebob's whole the 90s suck shtick. It's pretty obvious he has insecurity issues and was blaming all of his problems on a decade. I know of an old saying that no decade is perfect, so I could really smell the bullshit. Without the 90s, we wouldn't have the best in gaming, movies, or music for that matter. Not to mention the social changes. It's obvious he's a fan of the 80s, but that decade wasn't sunshine and roses either. The only reason he thinks that way is because he wasn't bullied in that era (he was bullied as a teenager during the 90s). I had my own bullies to face, but I would never take an out on an entire year or decade. That's just plain stupid, and shows how pathetic he really is.

Yeah it's completely wrong! Here are the words and Kanji used in some of the basic colours in Japanese: http://daiuinternational.com/japanese/vocabulary/colors.html One thing to note is that not all colours have their own specific Kanji - Brown is for example written with the Kanji for Tea and the Kanji for colour, to be "Tea-coloured" (Cha-iro). For orange it may well be that orenji-iro has become more common for everyday use than daidairo, with orenji written in Katakana as a loan word for the fruit. I guess that could make someone think that there is no Kanji, and therefore no Japanese word for the colour orange, which could maybe lead to the confused conversation you were party to!

OT: I get a major WTF almost daily from the news or just browsing the interwebs. Shit be crazy these days! :eek:p

If you're referring to Joe...I think his name was Joe or Joey...

I really wish I could have shot that piece of garbage myself. My main memory associated with Mafia 2 is, 'it's the game where you almost do well until the fat bastard does something stupid...then HE betrays YOU as though you're the asshole in the relationship'.

---

I hate children, toddlers and, babies to such an extreme degree that I sometimes kind of just stop during the course of my hateful mutterings to ask myself what the fuck is up. Children haven't wronged me, some of them are alright but there's just something absolutely hateful about the little bastards.

I believe I can speak for everyone, when I add "first generation American shoots up a nightclub killing over 50" and the reactions to such.
Today... has not been a good day for the country and its already inflamed politics.
