A friend of mine recently pointed out that some spooky new secrets were found in the mona lisa, namely a set of symbols located in the eyes and the background of the picture.

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/breaking-news/secret-symbols-in-the-eyes-of-mona-lisa/story-e6frf7k6-1225970353452 (I dont know how to do the linky thing sorry)

For those of you searching for the spookiness, i shall direct you to Assassins Creed Brotherhood. The man who got the idea to look for the symbols in the painting was Luigi Borgia, the Borgia family being the main enemy in Brotherhood. The main thing that i find quite scary however is that the number "72" can be found painted in the background of the painting. The same number is used in the closing scenes of Brotherhood.
Anyone else feel like boarding up their homes through fear of Templars? :p

I love it when games go running around trying to solve mysterys. AC is like a Dan Brown novel - very engrossing, but talking out of its behind in terms of historical content.
Its probably sponsorship. The full message is "buy a new pair of sandals from Luigi's, only 72 Florins!"
A couple things about the article - this is under breaking news, even though the painting has been around for public viewing for ages, and it links to thesun.co.uk, so automatically has no credibility
