Since my recent foray into Monster hunter tri on the wii seemed overall great though lacking i was curious how other people thought on the original monster hunter as am thinking or buying it and possibly buying a psp and freedom unite for that. Though i won't be able to play online as no ps3 for that. For anyone unaware what monster hunter is it's basically kill monsters get good gear and equipment then kill bigger and badder monsters etc. So any help would be appreciated.

I only have the wii version. You might want to ask someone in the Monster Hunter Group.

Monster Hunter Freedom Unite is great, it has a crap load of content which even my friend who has clocked in 100 hours hasn't even gotten to. Also Monster Hunter Portable 3 will be coming out next year so it would be good to have stuff to transfer.

My thoughts on monster hunter is that they all got better, ive had every game exept tri(no wii) and each was a briliant game. Exept loading times i hate the loading times.

As some one said it hurts you hand for psp, i kinda disagree and have never noticed.

Also some of the scenery and titanic monsters are epic, one of my favorite points of the game.

My thoughts are get the psp and unite as it has alot more to it than the first game.

Monster Hunter Tri is a great game, it's best quality is its online play. I've already clocked about 100+hours in Tri.

Now, the for PSP games. Monster Hunter Freedom Unite on the PSP is a little different from Tri (no switchaxe, different monsters, different monster moves). MHFU is however a MUCH larger game. I will say that it will most likely get you prepared for the NEW Monster Hunter coming out on PSP.
MHFU has quite a few monsters and a bunch of Monster quests, sadly the only way to play is either with a friend in the room with you, or if you have a PS3. I don't know if that will be a breaking point on the game for you or not.

MHFU is a lot harder than Monster Hunter Tri, so if you do get it, don't expect it to be the cake walk that Monster Hunter Tri is.

Get Freedom unite!!!!!! If you have friends willing to buy it as well then thats a bonus. Some good times with me and 3 mates playing monster hunter FU. But.... monster hunter freedom 3 is coming out end of this year or early next so I don't know if you want to wait for that instead.
