On the 5th of October 1969, Monty Python's Flying Circus aired. For those who don't know (and why don't you know?) Monty Python is a comedy group which began in 1969 with Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, Michael Palin.
Some of their work includes:
Monty Python's Flying Circus (1969?1974)
And Now for Something Completely Different (1971)
Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1974)
Monty Python's Life of Brian (1979)
Monty Python Live at the Hollywood Bowl (1982)
Monty Python's The Meaning of Life (1983)
So to celebrate, post your favourite Monty Python moments/sketches, and why.
Personally, I'm a big fan of 'The Holy Grail'. I found some of their early Flying Circus stuff a bit hit and miss but in the grand scheme of things, they more than made up for with sketches like 'How not to be seen', mainly because it's played completely straight and is still hilarious after 42 years!
