Its present in almost every action single player game, why isnt it recognised in the media?
Red Dead Redemption for example, you are a guy that used to do bad things, now to make up for it you (although forced) help the government. You still help a lot of people without being forced and some give you the option of saving someone or not.
This kind of thing is present in a lot of games, the main character are usually someone to admire, there they are, saving the world, doing the right thing. Still this group of genres (FPS/RPG/Action Adventure/etc) are still only recognised by the media as games where you shoot people, and that really bugs me. In my opinion the morale in this games ends up by actually teaching the player over time. After so many games of playing as the noble hero that saves the world I guess that if you had the chance you could make something to be proud of instead of being a dick.
