I've seen some 4channer discussion [http://www.occultusterra.com/], and they honestly don't have much idea on what to do, other than the obvious (protest publicly, to your congressmen, and to your friends). I don't think they really know what they're doing this time, though. The most they have is something to screw over search engines. [http://anti-acta.com/bomb.htm]

September is in 4 days. I think I'm just going to move to South Korea in case I accidentally pirated something before I knew what I was doing.

Hey, if their constituents are pissed, they had better pay closer attention. After all, the Democrats and Republicans are fairly even, and there's that small rogue percentage that determines the outcomes. If that piss that 10% off they lose.

And there isn't anything between "terrorism" and "peaceful protesting" unless you count rioting. And I count that as terrorism because it's illegal

I DO know what it is, the "Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement", but I don't know what it does. I need a simple explanation, y'know, in a nutshell, if you don't mind.

In other words, ACTA allows countries to come in to your house without a warrant, try you without evidence or a reason, or even just send you to jail, if you even think about violating copyright. It also makes it impossible to donate medicine to Africans (so pharmaceutical countries get more money, apparently?) and burns Internet free speech and the US Constitution. It violates about half your human rights, and they're probably trying to figure out how to rape the other half.

"You can only have a gun if you are in the government!" may come up in the near future.

I think that we need to coordinate protests in most of the major cities through out the countries that are going to be signing this treaty. I'm sure that if we could really get the word out it would galvinzes a lot of people to actually stand up and say that this is not ok with them.

Flood the search engines, tell everyone you know, and protest your heart out. Standard 4Chan rally rules apply, especially seeing as the Co$ is in on this: wear gloves, a mask, and don't speak with you normal voice. We don't need to do anything beyond standard noviolent awareness rallies until AFTER the act has passed; Ghandi lead a revolution without a single act of violence, and we can most definitely do the same.

So, if I got this straight... The government can search your house without a warrant and put you in court or even jail if they think you might, possibly, be infringing copyright? But how does it ruin free speech on the internet? I still don't entirely get it, but thanks for your explanation.
