I have always enjoyed side scroller looking (sorry dont' know the real name) games like tekken and mortal kombat and street fighter. I always thought it would be cooler to have more, which is why i like games like Marvel vs Capcom.
Other 1 on 1 mortal kombat/tekken style fighting games that i would particularily enjoy would have to be final fantasy and pokemon. Especially pokemon. Press A to use thunderbolt isn't cool. Super smash bros has a good way or doing things like this, but perhaps there should be more button combos like tekken and less jumping around and using items
