My old school (thank god for graduating) had ridiculous price rises. A 600mL carton of milk rose from $2.40 (Aus) to a staggering $3.50 in 2 years. This is just one example of the insane price rises for no reason. They also had the same problem of reducing the type of stuff available as well. Luckily I have to put up with that no longer.

Same thing with my school, you can buy a 1L bottle of chocolate milk for $2(AUD) but at school a 200ml costs $3.50.
Most people bring their own lunch but our canteen has some good food at only slightly overpriced prices.

That's fucked up.

There's only a monthly fee in my schools cafeteria.And you don´t have to pay if it if you don´t eat in the cafeteria.

And that small monthly fee of about $25 cover:Lunch with free refills if they are available.Fresh water to drink.Foosball(There is a foosball table in the school that we sometimes use after lunch while waiting until class starts.

But i always just go home.Here i can choose what i eat.And i can come here to the Escapist.

Now if you will excuse me,i have to go back to school.

I cant understand why you're wasting your money on this crappy food when you can just make your own lunch the night before.....

Or in the morning before.Just make it before you leave.

You have to pay £1.50 for a drink at my college. It brings me to tears.

That is honestly terrible. I mean, the school canteen here isn't the best, but that's just ridiculous. We're allowed out of the school grounds at lunch as well, so I usually just take the five minute walk down to Subway at lunchtime. I sympathise, I really do.

That is what I really don't get about the American Government. They spend hundreds of billions on the military when the public schooling system is that terrible. It boggles the mind. Seems that no-one cares that poor Timmy is getting a mediocre education and is being forced to choke down a bowl of gruel to help him struggle through it, as long as the army get their fancy new state-of-the-art missiles and whatnot. Ridiculous.
