I'm wondering if anyone here knows any songs like the beginning of the chorus from "Broken, Beat and Scarred" by Metallica. Where he says (in the first chorus) "rise, fall down". It sounds very inspirational and full of emotion but I've never heard a song like it.

Sorry, I don't know which part you mean. Can you tell me the time in the video?

Honestly, there aren't many songs like this. I'd recommend Buried Alive by Avenged Sevenfold.

staying on topic, if there are any metallica-heads in here: I don't love the Master of Puppets or Ride the Lightning albums much, but I fucking love Death Magnetic. Will I like St. Anger, or does it suck?
That song was awesome!

I think it sucks, but I loved Master of Puppets and Ride the Lightning, and hated Death Magnetic. So take that as you will.

Agreed completely. Lars is a terrible drummer and anyone who thinks otherwise doesn't know music that well because Lars has even said himself that he isn't very good in an interview I heard.

OT: After going through my entire music library (over 2000 songs) I can't really find anything of the same genre as Metallica with inspirational, emotional lyrics. However, I've got a few songs with inspirational, emotional lyrics that are a different genre.

EDIT: Of course System of A Down, but they've been mentioned so I didn't include them.

Saint Anger sucks hairy, sweaty middle-aged rocker dick.
Its just....not good.

OT - if you can stand the broken English and the occasional synth then Sonata Antartica is pretty damn good inspirational metal.
Although Man o' War or Hammerfall might be more what you are after...
