Ok, so I downloaded a map pack for Gears 2 and for some reason I can not play those maps when I am not hooked up to the internet. Is that the way it is with all of the things you get from the Marketplace. I plan on buying Marvel vs Capcom 2 when it comes out at the end of this month and will I have to be hooked up the the Internet in order to play it? Thanks for your help!

You should be able to play any downloaded maps offline. You might have to be playing on the profile you downloaded them with though.

1) make sure you're on the same console you originally downloaded them on
2) make sure you're signed in on the same gamertag you were on when downloading them (although this shouldn't make a difference)
3) get online at least once after completing both steps above - sometimes it has to "verify" or "check" your DLC, kind of like what fallout does. i know for a fact that in skate 2, for example, if you're not online, sometimes it wont verify your DLC

Ok I'll try to help:
Did you happen to switch consoles since you downloaded them?
If you have, you will have to go to xbox.com and transfer the licenses from your old console to your new one. You don't transfer the licenses and you buy MvC2 (a great game I might add) they you should be able to play it offline since the license will be tied to that console.
