Very nice pictures, and some excellent photography work. They must have a hella fast reflexes, or a high speed video cam to capture those instants.

One minor nitpick... using a water balloon to replicate "magic" visuals is still "special effects", the same way squibs [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Squib_%28explosive%29] replicate gun shots and bullet wounds. What this doesn't have is computer-generated effects. ...just sayin'.

Hmm,... needs more annoying *****.

Other than that, very swanky pictures.

The photos are too bright and cheery, Morrigan was the sort to live in the dark old forests like the sort you'd see in Romania the sort that traditionally surrounded Dracula's castle. Not this bright sun lit meadow.
That's what I was also thinking. Morrigan is called a 'Witch of the Wilds' how the magic to akin to disabling, draining, and oh yea... turning into animals. The lighting and water effects of this is awesome but are totally off. I don't recall Morrigan using water attacks, or even having it as a theme.

And the bra... seriously... why the bra? The entire color theme could be forgiven, but this girl wears a bra? I just don't know what to think of it. I love the pictures, the shots are awesome, but why did it have to be Morrigan?
Oh, woe is you. Yeh, the girl doesn't look like Morrigan, given the modifications to her attire and the bright atmosphere, but really, big deal. Don't forget, Morrigan was hardly what you would call an oil painting in Dragon Age and in the Sacred Ashes trailer there was something of the Deliverance look about her.

I'd rather look at these pics any day, but hey, suit yourself.

Can't believe people are bitching about the bloody setting and her likeness to the actual character...

And I'm pretty sure that bra is in the game, but covered up by the never moving clothes.

Her clothes are too clean. Morrigan is a Wicth Of The Wilds. She lives in the wetlands. Sure she's a lady and likes to make herself effeminate (she stole a mirror once), but, it's innevitable that your clothing would get lived in the outside world.

That's the only gripe I have with Cosplay is that everything's so shiney and clean :p Therefore it looks obviously fake. Especially as you have a living flesh human being in an idealised costume :p Maybe if the human looks exactly like the video game character then it would work.

To me Morrigan had more bulk to her. Kira looks too deinty.

Don't get me wrong. It looks very good. Just it's not 100% Morrigan.

To everyone complaining that Morrigan doesn't wear a bra:

That's probably where they drew the inspiration from.

Also if I remember correctly, Morrigan starts off with cone of cold, which is "sort-of-water-magic".

Lookzs kick ass, but waaay too innocent to be morrigan.
I agree with this nitpick. Morgan looks more 30 to this cosplayer's 20.
More like a drug abuse 30 than an actual age difference IMO.

Edit: also, it's cosplay not soft-core porn - stop QQing about her wearing a bra (though IMO it looks like a bikini top).

Someone get that girl a flipping sandwich.

And a padded bra, whilst we're at it. She's doing a Rachael in the first one.

I love how you guys always show female cosplayers and never males.

I'm not complaining though, at least you know what your readers want. XP

I liked that she didn't use PhotoShop to do it
Used Photoshop for everything else though. It's amazing how unnatural these pictures look, more like CGI than actual photographs.

I am still trying to wrap my mind around that being real-life photography. That is... just...

Amazing. I tip my hat to that woman.

"Controls Water in the Flesh"
Yeah, she does hurr durr

*ahem* Anyway, it seems a little weird and off... not her face or hair or even the swimsuit top... it's more the happy, springtime lighting and angles. Dragon Age was all dark and blood and politics and racism and grrr grrr grimdark, so it's kind of weird seeing Morrigan outside of some drab city or filthy, blood-specked hovel. I don't think she even has a spot of blood on her.

Still, it looks fantastic... if only all cosplay could turn out this well. I'm sure Ms. Winter will be appearing on this site again sometime soon.

Morrigan? Leliana?
...
....
What is this?! It's not even my birthday! They're...real! And...they're hot!

MADNESS! If that's the case, then I have a new life goal: meet these ladies.

Although I'll have to agree Morrigan looks more gothic and dark/evil. That's pretty much what I liked about her; she's this badass mage who only wants to be loved. It brings a tear to me eye. Maybe I point out Sacred Ashes as an example of what she would look like in reality? Nonetheless, that girl makes Morrigan look hotter so all is forgiven!
