Morrowind/Emersion

I recently bought morrwind for my computer, because i've been wanting to try it out. I started and although it isn't to old, the graphics seem so dated. I've been trying to get emersed, but having a hell of a time of it. Does what should I do? Anything that helps you get emersed?

Turn off all distractions and lights. Sit in a comfortable position, and just relax. It is hard to get immersed in games that are a little dated, though.

Otherwise I don't know what to tell you. RPG's like Morrowind are kind of an acquired taste. If you don't like it you don't like it. I don't think any amount of advice will change that.

Dammit, this thread made me want to go play Morrowind again. I've already put over 300 hours into it.

Also, its completely different from Oblivion, and at the beginning, much more slow paced, but it has a level of depth that is very rare in games.

Morrowind is definitely an acquired taste. Personally I didn't like it and thought Oblivion was better.
