Ok I just saw some footage for MK9 and I will say, it looks much improved. They finally removed the 3d and are leaning more towards being a violent Street Fighter style game. Just so you can see what I'm talking about here's the footage
Yeah so let's be honest most recent Mortal Kombat games have been absolute garbage, but this on the other hand, looks promising.

This will be a vast improvement over Armageddon and MK vs DC Universe. I'm liking this even if though the x-ray bits are a little confusing.

They seemed to have fixed one of my larger complaints about the series, that complaint being the ungodly, unnatural-looking jerky movements. Mortal Kombat never had flow. This looks like it might have it. This is why I've been intrigued by this game ever since I saw the first batch of gameplay footage.

I hope it turns out well.

For me MKII, MKV and now this one (hopefully) are the pillars of this series. Every time I seem to count it out, it gets my attention again.
