And People Need To Stop Using the Word Australia To describe itLdude893 said:Seriously. Just because people under 18 can't play it doesn't mean everybody else can't. Australia needs to understand that games are not just for children, and they should not be treated as simple children's toys.
all banned games are banned from import. Otherwise it defeats the point because then the sale would merely have to take place overseas to allow anything in.Joel Soh said:I dunno how many people here are Aussie, but from the E-mail I got from JBHIFI, MK9 is also banned from import.

Michael Atkinson isn't an Attorney General anymore man, and for the record, it was the Liberal Party's new arsehead in WA who blocked the last attempt to revamp the ratings system with an R18+ rating.farq1414 said:damn you all. Stupid Michael Atkinson he thinks that all games are for kids and i think i heard that that they where trying to get MA or R rating for the game. When will Michael Atkinson stop thinking that all game are for little kids even the code it say's "adults should be able to read, hear and see what they want" but there is no R18+ for games I HATE THIS SO MUCH RIGHT NOW.
WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU MICHAEL ATKINSON this is what he said about the matter "I don't support the introduction of an R18+ rating for electronic games, chiefly because it will greatly increase the risk of children and vulnerable adults being exposed to damaging images and messages." That is why they are called R18+ (Restricted) so that no-one under age buys the game. O and by the way "FINISH HIM" (i grab michael head and pull it of his body along with his spinal cord and throw it at the ground then turn around to see his body fall to the ground with boold spraying out of his neck) now that's what i call R18+

This is just depressing. This was going to be the first fighting game I was actually looking forward to. The irony.... it stings.
I mock you both from high atop my UK castle. We have violence and nudity in our games because our government, in this aspect at least, treats us like adults. Feel free to bow before my nation's superiority.lithium.jelly said:This sentence is so laden with irony. Seems Australia censors violence, not sex. While this is not an ideal state of affairs, it's at least more sensible than the other way around. Besides, it'll probably work out cheaper to import an uncensored overseas copy of Mortal Kombat than buy it here in Aus.
