First of all, some background. I've only played MK vs DCU and MK 2011, so although I've looked up backstories for the characters I'm pretty much a newbie.

I don't have a favorite character per se, but I like Noob Saibot, Mileena, and Kabal. They're fun to play as, they have interesting moves, and they look neat. Noob does have the most wince-inducing Fatalities in the game, though, as far as I'm concerned.

I own Armageddon myself, I play it occasionally. Really like the character creator.

I've been an MK fan since the days of MKI back in my Sega Mega Drive. The series has seen its ups and downs over the years, but this is definitely the best MK game, bar none. That is my opinion on it.

I love it m'self. Kano is my favorite. Smoke is a close second, with Kabal bringing up a very close third. Yeah, I love the Black Dragon...

I think the game surpassed my expectations, I love every single thing about the game, well maybe not the final story mode fight, but I got past it so who cares, my favorite characters are Smoke and Sonya

Well having only really played mk 2 properly (Although I did own Armageddon, but that was for the DS so am not counting it) I love the new modes, and the tag team stuff and test your luck modes are really good. The characters all are very detailed and learning to play each is epic, Such as how at the moment I'm learning Kabal and Cyrax and their history and detailed moves really adds to the game.

Only one problem and thats that the game is riddled with bugs. Loads of freezes in story mode and Challange tower and my game freezes every single time I buy something from the Krypt :/

I've been a fan of Mortal Kombat since the mid-90's from when I was 4/5 years old. I remember playing Mortal Kombat 2 on the SNES with my brothers and the various games over the years. Same as the shows, films etc. Something about the story and universe has just always really appealed to me and it's a very important franchise to me as a person.

I've been playing it just over a week now and it's lived up to expectations, it's definitely the best game the series has ever put out. I just finished the Challenge Tower this morning as well, so I just need to do Arcade ladder with some more characters, find secret fights and try to get trophies (which I don't normally sweat over, but the game is fun so it'd be cool to platinum it). I hope I find more people in Australia that play the game, it's a shame it will never enjoy the following here that it would've had otherwise.

My only real complaints about the game is how annoyingly cheap the bosses can be and the fact that the Krypt was very underwhelming and didn't require much effort to complete. The unlockables needed some major work (300 challenges and I get a pointless Mileena costume? Come on guys). Overall though this doesn't get in the way of the many positives and they put a great deal of effort into it, delivering a solid experience and the best fighter I've ever played.

I'm also really glad that the Arcade collection is coming out soon, looks like I'll be doing more trophy hunting and re-living some great nostalgia with it. It's not as if the 3d games were bad as such, they just never really felt like they hit their mark to me. I really enjoyed the content of them though and all the little bonuses they threw in, but I was never crazy about them.

Can't wait to see what they do with the next installment, which will inevitably happen in 2-3 years I expect.

Scorpion's worse. "Get over here!" [punch] "Get over here!" [throw] "Get over here!" [X-ray]. It's the only way I was able to beat Shao Kahn, though.

What did you guys think about it and all its new modes? :)
Ah, you've changed the question!

I honestly don't understand the Test Your Might/Sight/Strike modes. They're amusing breaks in the Tower, but I can't imagine sitting down for a 30-minute Test Your Might marathon.

EDIT: Whoops, forgot I just posted in this thread. Sorry.
