Most advanced part in the human body?

Hey there all, currently I am doing a biology course and as in all biology courses there is a section of it that includes the human body/ anatomy/ internal.

While re-learning all of this material (Because that is what education is, you just learn something then re-learn it over and over again only more in depth each time) I figured out even more about how truly amazing the human body is, how advanced our bodies are, and what all our bodies can do, even without us knowing.

I wanna know, what system or part, or other scientific terms that relate to the body that you find the most extraordinary. And why so?

I would have to say the Immune system, it works to fight off hostile and unknown viruses/organisms and while it's doing that, it creates protocols to ensure that you won't suffer from whatever it is fighting again.

Or in layman's terms: I think that the immune system is a pretty cool guy. eh fights off viruses and doesn't afraid of anything.

Probably brain, since we really don't get how it works yet (the old, if it were simple enough to understand we would be too simple to understand it).

The brain. Easily.

Barring that, the liver. The only internal organ that can regenerate. Seriously. That shit's not to be taken lightly.

That, and it has over 500 different functions. Best organ ever.

The brain of course.

The network inside your brain could shame the internet.

I know what you all mean about the brain, however, isn't that more of less the possible POTENTIAL of the brain. I mean, currently we only use about 5% of our brain. Sure, if we were able to use all of our brain, all of the mechanics and everything in it, the possibilities would be endless, but we can't... that's kind of the reason why I don't agree with that. I might IF we knew and could utilize all of our brain. Then that would be cool.

It's quite a trooper.

But I'm going to have to take the "brain" option. We're one step ahead of the rest of the world's inhabitants with it, apart from dolphins and mice of course.

Title is "Most advanced part in the human body".

If the brain is so complex and advanced that we can't even use a tenth of its potential, it pretty much takes the cake without contest.

Being indifferent to how we treat earth is not the same thing as being unintelligent.

And again, it's about the most advanced part of the human body. The thumb is vital for us to live a normal life, sure, but it's hardly the most advanced.

I am thorn between the brain and our hands, simply the brain could have not evolved as it did without the human capacity to modify its enviroment, which is directly related to the hand.

The brain. It's essentially you, your attitudes, your beliefs and your history wrapped up in one organ.

Oh, and it also controls your freaking body.

The kidney ends up doing quite a bit, but the brain is what I would think the most advanced is.

The Brain. Not just because it controls everything in your body, but it essentialy contains everything that is "You". Memories, Ideas, Emotions, your internal monologue.
It's an advanced, very clever bit of kit whichever way you look at it.

the liver, every male in my family has been trying to kill it through years of excessive drinking but it still keeps on going, and since this is the internet I think you all know what we wanna say.

Peeeeeeee-brain.

Yeah, I'd have to go with brain just like most people in this thread.

Hands are pretty good too, but we aren't the only ones capable of using some kind of tools, however limited.
