Jesus fuck. You could drill my head open and fill it with live hornets while blasting blurred lines and soulja boy and it wouldn't be half as unpleasant to listen to as this.

It doesn't help the way they write her either. Every line made me cringe to the degree where I was squiming in my seat. A grown woman doing a little girl voice with the cadence of a wanna be gangster with a speech impediment and a sinus infection is just the perfect storm of terribleness coming together into the worst character voice ever conceived.

The Annoying fan. Sure there are worse characters out there, but he's the worst I remember dealing with.
It's "Adoring Fan", actually. But that title may be more appropriate.

Speaking of Oblivion, I never got one, but I remember my little brother took one of the immortal companions you can get at the end of the Knights of the Nine. Issue: They suck. Another issue: IT'S AN OBLIVION NPC. Main issue: They can't be dismissed. In any way.

Silly. PC gamers can easily kill them off, though, via console commands. Lucky us.

I didn't mind Tidus most of the time, but that 'laughing' cutscene was one of the worst I've ever seen.

The worst character voice, though, would be Danika zu Heltzer from Guild Wars: Factions. Like a particularly shrill piece of sandpaper to the brain.

How could they get such beautiful music from Jeremy Soule, and then make you listen to Danika talk over it?! It was criminal.

pretty much any actor they drag in to play a character who has no idea how to VA...Don't get me wrong some actors in video games do a fantastic job but other times it makes me want cringe.

Felicia Day in Fallout/dragon age
Jessica Chobot in ME3...just plain awful

Definitely 'hammer' or Hannah from Fable 2 she talks and talks and talks she does not shut up for any of the missions I really hated listening to her go on and on about stupid crap. When she would talk I would take safety off and whack her with my sword or shoot her she had the plot armor so no death but "Ouch, I may be big but it still hurts."

A lot of Japanese VA's annoy me as they all sound like Little Girls or Kids trying to put on a manly voice. Playing through Project X Zone and with the exception of a few (Ken and Ryu) i hate the voices.

Kessen 2 had a lot of "bad" moments, but not through actual bad Voice Acting but more where the game would mess up and give you the wrong character line. Hearing Cao Cao using Himiko's voice was amusing but off putting at the same time

OOOH! OOOH! I have one!

So! I finally got Metal Gear Rising, and well, while I really enjoyed the game, there was one character that I couldn't stand at all, and his voice was so goddamn annoying that I wanted to shoot my TV.

This Bastard:

Fucking Senator Armstrong. Seriously, fuck that guy, and extract and incinerate his vocal cords ASAP. His voice is so goddamn grating that he was the only character I hated fighting in the game.

Oh yeah? I see your Annoying Fan and raise you one Tidus, from Final Fantasy X! He is your protagonist. You spend the game dealing with his farty grievances. I watched a review. There is a part of the game in which he...laughs...and...ohhhh no, I think I'm going to be sick...

...Forgive me...

...And no, you can't have those last few seconds of your life back. No refunds.

Your health is low. Do you have any potions or food?

Glad they referenced the hero killing the annoying old man later in the series.

Claptrap in the first Borderlands. Also in the second, but less so, as you don't find him everywhere.

Yes, that honor goes to one Fuuka Yamagishi, second backup, Persona 3. Don't get me wrong, I love Fuuka. She had a great social link and did some very valuable things for S.E.E.S., but that voice and those repetitive lines! Two more left! Akihito Senpai's in trouble! Et cetera. Mitsuru's voice for that was much better(plus no Marin Karin spam). Hell, even Ted and Rise were better and that's saying something.
Really? I've heard a lot of people bag on Fuuka's English voice, but I never saw what was that bad about it. Maybe the lines were a bit 'Captain Obvious' and certainly repetitive, but that's more of a problem with how the lines are programmed, not the acting.

Surely we can all agree the real disaster in that game was Ken: "Yes yes yes! My skill level has increased!" Or that random "Aww, crap!" that sounds like it's being delivered by a frightened cartoon parrot.
And to think, him and Chidori had the same VA. Loved her, couldn't stand him. Also, it wasn't Fuuka's voice so much as how breathy and scared she always was... from the lobby. So, not so much the voice but... tone? I guess?

Any voice that sounds like Carth Onasi. That voice just completely ruined Kaidan from Mass Effect for me.

As much as I enjoyed Dragon Age: Origins, it got tiresome very quickly of my Warden constantly sniding "All right, all right!" and "Do you want me to get you a ladder, so you can get off my back?" every time they got given a damn order.

I think that is a problem with Bioware games in general though. They give characters about three lines to say in combat, and have them say it far too often.

...for the life of me I cannot think of what game it is I'm thinking of 0.0 Something I played recently... not necessarily a recent game, just to point out. One of your female companions (AI controlled) kept on screaming very loudly in a savage way;

I will destroy you!!!

over and over and over again... generic line I know. Nothing inherently wrong with it, the line or her delivery of it. It's just the fact that she felt the need to scream it at least every 8 seconds. For about 20 minutes.

This is gonna bug me all day now - what game was it!? I'm pretty sure there were guns involved... it seems I have blocked it from memory.
I believe it was Mass Effect 2 and the companion was a woman named Jack.

OP: Sticky from Fallout 3. Look, I get I have to escort you and keep you safe, but will you please just shut the hell up?

Didn't go through all of the pages to check if someone already posted this, but even if they have I'm gonna leave this here.

HALT! Time for an old classic.

And one that really annoyed me in the most recent times goes to ME1 and "I WILL DESTROY YOU!"

My vote is for slippy toad I don't think i really need to explain why, but in case you haven't played star fox slippy is useless in combat and pretty much spends the whole game whining in a high pitch screaming to be saved.....ugh.
seriously, how that incompetent little shit managed to get into a team of elite mercenary pilots I will never know.

Kinda expected this whole thread to just be people saying Vanille.

You know those kids from Heavy Rain..?

Well definately not them, oh no, they were great.
I think David Cage games should be exempt because for the most part he just gets french va's to do horrible english accents, Not defending him of course, I'm just saying that this thread could dissolve into some serious Cage hate if we were to start discussing all the horrible voice acting in those games.
