When I am programming in Matlab and I run some code and there is an error the program produces a little chime. I have nearly thrown my computer against the wall from hearing this noise over and over again.

My mother's voice screaming "ARE YOU AWAKE?" right next to my head whenever I stop off back home for a night or two.

Not only is it the volume and pitch, but it's the fucking pointlessness of her even doing it. Screaming at the top of your lungs next to someone's head WILL wake them up, so asking if they're awake it just fucking redundant.

Honestly, it's the worst way to EVER wake up. I'd honestly prefer my normal alarm over...THAT!

Motorbikes. More specifically, cheap dirt bikes. I don't mind people who own them, but why - why must you drive it up and down the street in front of my house for no reason. I get it - you like your motorbike. Now just shut up. No one wants to hear that awful sound all day.

Alarm clock sound. I instantly fill with hatred and dread as soon as I hear it. I learned of this when I was watching tv and a commercial for subway came on, and had an alarm clock go off. I look up from reading , and Im just pissed off, until I realize whats going on.

Babies. I hate any sound they make. Then I start hating people who think it's "cute"...

This and this. Also my alarm clock. No one likes their alarm clock. Aaanndd... the dentist drill after it hits your teeth. Not only does it already sound weird, but now you can feel the sound ><

Two sounds that really make me want to commit acts of violence through annoyance are:

Church bells. It's sunday, i'm sleeping. 6am is not a time to be ringing that giant f**king bell. Fortunately during the cold in the winter a part of it broke so they can't ring it currently.

Secondly my neices laugh. She's developed this awful fake laugh and it's shrill and high pitched. It infuriates me to no end when she makes that sound.

the kids in my Game Design collage class that shout "Buttscratcher!".

It's long term effect is that anything I hear that is or remotely sounds like that word makes me angry.

Oh, and Styrofoam, but I don't think everyone hates the noise when you rub Styrofoam together..

Styrofoam is AGONY. When you rub styrofoam together, I feel it in the tips of my fingers. I feel a need to grind my teeth. My stomach feels weird.

Nothing I have ever heard compares to it. It's the physical manifestation of pure evil.

I got a replacement screen for my laptop 2 weeks ago. I start unpacking the box it shipped in.... STRYOFOAM! IT WAS EVERYWHERE!
That day I figured out there was only one sound worse than Stryofoam rubbing against other stryofoam, it was stryofoam rubbing against cardboard. I had to consider the consequences if I just didn't unpack the box. I'm literally having trouble typing about it know hahaha.

NO! NOT THE STYROFOAM RUBBING TOGETHER! IT BURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRNS!!!!!

OT: The sound of a mechanical pencil, without any lead sticking out of the tip, scratching on a piece of paper. In combination with the feeling of it dragging along the sheet, it just makes me shudder every time.

I use a "radio station" for my alarm. It's set to static. NOTHING can wake you up faster.
