When you say badass actor alive, I think at the moment, which sortof rules out Clint Eastwood, who while still being pretty kickass, has got his best years well behind him. Bruce Willis is still pretty good but definately getting on a bit. Those guys deserve some sortof lifetime acheivement award for badassery, but not badass of the year.

I would have to go with Jason Statham.
