Need I say it? He kills millions of enemy aliens bent on destroying humanity without a scratch on his armor. He blows up not one, but two alien death ring (that could wipe out all life in the galaxy) almost single handedly, he faces another race of aliens that take over their host bodies and use them for their own means not one, not twice, but three times (four if you count Earth and the Ark as separate events), he defends Earth against an armada of Covenant ships twice. In the end he sacrifices himself to end both the Covenant and the Flood once and for all. He's left drifting in space waiting for a evac that will never show up, and he honestly doesn't care. His job is done. Badass unlocked.

Yes, I have played Halos 1, 2, 3, Wars, ODST, and Reach (and loved them all) but I'm still entitled to an opinion. I didn't bash on you choosing Gordon (who is very badass for the record) so don't bash on me choosing Chief.

EDIT: I refuse to believe C&C 4. That game ruined a franchise I loved since I was 7 so EA can all suck the tailpipe of a dragster for all I care.

Noone can object to this. Its the main charecter to shadow of the colossus.

I agree, he beat the colossi while not being super powered in any way.

Real easy to be cocky when you have power armor/superpowers/demon energy/superweapons.

I used to think Samas was badass, but they ruined her with Other M.

Shut up! She IS badass! 'Metroid: Other M' doesn't exist, and even if it did, Team Ninja made it so it doesn't count!

Actually, she's cool, but not badass. If I had to choose a badass character, it would probably be Cole MacGrath (the good version, anyway). He's humanly flawed while still being spectacular. He'll help you simply because he believes it to be his responsibility, but be a Nathan Drake to him and he'll probably throw you into water.

I honestly don't know who would be a badass character, except for Jade from 'Beyond Good and Evil'. Also Vyse from 'Skies of Arcadia'. Seriously; he boards an imperial frigate, kills the guards, corners the villain, rescues the damsel in distress and pilots a flying pirate ship back to their H.Q inside a floating island. Fast-forward and he's busted out of a supposedly unescapeable fortress TWICE.
