What grated on me about Just Cause 2 were the bad story lines, painful voice acting and douchey, unentertaining protagonist.
I ignored the missions and just used it as a "let's fuck around and go crazy" game.
thats the same way i treat prototype 1 and 2. go crazy, and punch a helicopter in the face.
I think Just Cause 2 is better for it due to the far larger map, more guns, and all the vehicles.
i know where youre coming from, but what other game lets you kung fu kick a tank as a granny?

Touche...

I'll see your kung fu granny and raise you a cajun arms dealer (only good VA in the entire game) and the ability to crash a fighter jet into a crowded area.

If by broken you mean horribly unbalanced, then Just Cause 2. Incredibly fun game, but like Yahtzee said, it's like playing with all the cheat codes on.

I'm pretty sure that was the idea. Although the main quest did have a few fun moments. The side quests for the gangs were often very entertaining.

broken as in not working/glitchy or imbalanced mechanics? well of the top of my head;

if glitchy then im saying splatterhouse, suffered alot of problems that will likely mean a sequel will never see the light of day, but it was a hell of a ride.

unbalanced mechanics its a toss up between arcanum, the magic is far too over powered to the point that it gets really boring, thank heavens for modes eh?

warband, anything mounted basically sticks two finders up to balanced gaming

Don't forget elbow slamming a crowed sidewalk after running up the side of a skyscraper, followed by Hulk-jumping into the sky and grabbing a helicopter, ripping the door off and throwing out the pilot to hijack it yourself. ...all while wearing the skin of a little old lady. Man, I can't wait for Prototype 2 to come out on PC.

OT: Well, Halo 2 is pretty broken on PC, so... can't really think of anything else right off the top of my head. Possibly Sonic Unleashed on the PS3, it's pretty poorly optimized overall and the night stages can... certainly be frustrating.

EDIT: Oh, actually, I'm lucky enough to have the overheating bug in Mass Effect which is apparently triggered by the acquisition of an achievement that is impossible to not get on any given playthrough. Never been patched. It means that 90% of the time, if my weapon overheats (due to either firing for too long at once or because an engineer used their overheat tech ability on me), it stays permanently overheated until I reload the game. Especially fun because Saren has the same overheat tech ability and just loves using it.

Mass Effect 1.
Because it hates my CPU or GPU, I can't play it without crashing every half an hour or so, and gets more often the longer I play.

Wait, that bug happened to people with legit copies? It only ever happened to me when I cracked it, and even then it only happened with a specific crack. As soon as I bought it on Steam, it stopped happening.

OT: Not a videogame, but Druids in D&D 3.5 are broken to hell and back. Still remember being able to solo an "unbeatable" boss during a campaign with just a level 7 vanilla Druid. Would have won, too, if I'd kept track of all the buffs I'd received in that particular encounter.

The first Two Worlds game. It was bugged to fuck and lacked loads of features, and some shit just did not work (horses, ahem) but I still ended up highly enjoying the game.

Two Worlds II thankfully improved on most of it.

The PS1 game for Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.

This is the video game equivalent of watching a terrible movie with your friends and ripping on it. It's so bad, yet so charming.

The most broken aspect of it is during the fight scene with Darth Maul. After watching Liam Neeson die, and the failure of trying to animate grief via body language, you're supposed to superjedijump over to a bridge to fight Mail 1-on-1.

There is a random chance that this bridge simply does not spawn. Your last checkpoint will be at this moment. At this point, you'll have to play through the whole game again and pray that the bridge will appear so you can finish the damned game.
remember this! god damn that game was fucking awesome (like you said, so bad, that it was great)

loved replaying that last level again and again (had a save i just reloaded there each time)

OT: probably kotor 2, the game is in shambles, but with 102931029310293912 mods running, it is probably my favorite game of all time :)

Indeed it did. I've persevered anyway, and tried to fix it occasionally via some of the workarounds on the Bioware forums, etc., but the bastard keeps coming back every time I get the "Geth Hunter" achievement. I deal with it because I do love the series anyway, and it's only a huge issue while playing as a soldier.

Broken? How so?

Broken as in easy? Fallout 3
Broken as in barely functions? Fallout 3 & Sacred 2
Broken as in difficult? BattleToads

I've been trying REALLY hard to get into Fallout New Vegas but desert landscapes just bore me to death.

Deus ex for the ps2, You'd fall throught the floors and die, get stuck on stuff and die, I even pushed to the end of the game and you feel throught the entire floor making the game uncompletable for me ;p

Still loved the damn thing and got the pc version when i got a good pc.

KotOR II was pretty god damn broken yet still managed to be pretty god damn fun.
Was gonna say "I don't generally keep playing broken games..." and then I saw this post.

Granted, I didn't realize it was broken until someone told me it was supposed to have a more connected storyline. Still loved it and its characters.

skyrim.

my character was basically a tank with restoration spells and 100 smiting and enchant level's, so i was an unstoppable god by level 30 but i really enjoyed exploring the world, doing random quest's, pimping out my cribs with cool gear... oh and killing everyone i came across

also it kept freezing randomly and the floor would occasionally bug out
