What's one horror movie (or more if you know more) that you just find funny? Yet the movie wasn't intended to be a horror comedy....

Me I find the old 1922 horror movie "Nosferatu" pretty comical. Just the way the vampire moves is hilarious. To a point it's hard to find how this made people scream in the 20's. But hey that's the kind of stuff they had back then! So can't blame them.

I was never to sure if they were supposed to be scary, but I laughed my ass off at the Leprechaun franchise and the gremlin movies.

Dawn of the Dead
One of the funniest movies I have ever saw.
Strange that it's supposed to be horror

Does Troll 2 count? If not, The Exorcism of Emily Rose. I found that movie to really funny, probably only because I was watching it with my Mum and she wanted me to make jokes about everything so she wouldn't be afraid.

Hey don't bad mouth Nosferatu, its wasn't really intended as a horror film, more expressionism as for your original question I'd have to say parts of the Exorcist, don't get me wrong its one of my favourite horror films but you have to laugh at certain scenes.

Halloween 3: Michael Meyers is replaced as the series' antagonist by an evil Irish toy company, staffed by androids, that steals part of Stonehenge and hooks it up to a machine so they can make cursed Halloween masks, then on Halloween they'll make a special broadcast and every child wearing the masks... their heads will be turned into bugs and snakes.

Route 666: A Sci-fi channel original, need I say more? I shall anyways. In one scene one of the characters is reading The Telltale Heart, those who've read The Telltale Heart know it's a short story, but apparently the makers of Route 666 didn't, because the character is reading a massive tome. One wonders why they didn't just take a couple minutes to stop at some random bookstore... they could've picked up any book for a prop, it wasn't important to the plot at all, it just seemed silly. They at least could've done some research. In another scene one of the characters' hands gets cut off in a car door, and what appears to be a hamburger patty drops sizzling to the pavement... I assumed this was the special affect for the hand. Oh, and they decided that all of the action scenes should be shot in claymation. I'm not really sure why they thought that would be a good idea.

Pinata; Survival Island
Easily one of the most hilarious movies I've ever seen. But then again, it had CGI so terrible I wanted to weep.
I think they may have changed it to "Demon Island" on some copies, but it doesn't changed the fact that the monster in the movie is a damn pinata.

EDIT: Oh! Silent Night Deadly Night 2. Random car explosion, umbrella impalement, a bow-and-arrow capable of killing a man found in a toy store, so many others, and of course GARBAGE DAY.

Nosferatu is a horror movie. It may not seem like it but back then it was. Go back to the "roaring" 20's and tell me what you think.

The Evil Dead Trilogy. Well not so much 1 but 2 and Army of Darkness (3) were hilarious.

I would have to go with 'Severance' the British horror/comedy.
Mostly because unlike most horror comedies which are more a parody of the genre, Severance was actually scary and funny in equal measure.

Well first off, if you're familiar at all with Romero's work, his focus tends to be more on social commentary than on sticking to the genre's stated objective.

Second, at the time, while it still probably wasn't very scary, it was one of the goriest films ever released. Sure, the fake blood manufactured by 3M (that's right, the same good people who make scotch tape) looks bad, but it was the first film to ever feature someone's head getting blown off, and a lot of Tom Savini's other special fx were groundbreaking at the time too. A special note on the blood is that Tom Savini actually wanted to get rid of the 3M stuff because it did look unrealistic, but Romero decided he wanted to leave it in strictly because the unrealistic look added to the fantasy of it, thus he could make it clearer to the audience that the point was social commentary as opposed to gritty realism.

Hey well I applaude you for watching it at least, most people I mention it to laugh at it just because of its date, but it is a hugley influential film. Oh and this is actually quite funny, because there was no sound in cinemas back then they had to have a live orchestra playing the score.

oh don't jump to conclusions just yet...... I only saw a few clips which made me laugh (a lot) (thus giving inspiration to the thread) I do wish to watch it someday on youtube or something. The best stuff are the really old classics (but that's just my opinion) Oh one last thing I don't watch too much horror movie stuff maybe a trailer and clip here and there but no full length movie. But that movie I will make plans to see (promise)

Sci-Fi original movies.

I saw about ten seconds of one, and in those ten seconds I believe I saw a dinosaur from space who either had the power of mind control or laser vision.

I stopped watching soon after and ran to wash out my eyes.
