Twilight. I'm disappointed that they made a book sequel. The first book was a threat to humanity.
You just probably stole my girlfriend. She's got a real thing for anyone who hates the twilight series. Anyone.

The Dakota Cipher by William Dietrich was a bit of a letdown after the awesomeness that was The Rosetta Key.

I actually really liked Mostly Harmless, but that's probably just the fanboy in me.

I haven't dared yet venture into And another thing...

I haven't read any serialised fiction for a good long while, but I remember being extremely satisfied with the ending of Scorpia (the 4th/5th book in the Alex Rider series). It was just the perfect way of concluding the series; the sword of Damocles having finally fallen.

And then Mr. Horowitz pulls some deus ex machina out and chugs out more books. All interest lost.

Wolves of the Calla from The Dark Tower series.

Over seven hundred pages of anticipation...for a five page battle.

Loved the Callahan side story though. Also seeing them interact with normal people was a great touch.
While you have an incredibly good point, it still stands as my favorite in the series, and I've reread that book twice as much as the rest of it :p If you're gonna hate anything, hate the ending of the final book. I'd have stabbed him if he was within stabbing range when I read that :p

All of the Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy ones... I liked the first book, but it got more and more annoying with the other ones. I stopped halfway through the last book because it got too boring.

I thought Harry Potter 6 and 7 really blew. It's incredible the way absolutely nothing happens in the first 500 pages of Half Blood Prince.

The Dark Tower: The Wasteland or Wizard And Glass was one.

For someone who is as obviously intelligent as Stephen King, to keep calling multiple personality disorder the wrong thing (schizophrenia) infuriated me a lot. Especially since the early 80s it's been known as MPD (it's now known as DID). I know it's a cheap thing to get angry at, but I hate it when DID is called schizophrenia.
.

The Dark Tower. The final book.

All that, to end with a "and they all lived happily ever after" was just irritating, resolving to use an alternative New York to let Susannah live happy with an alternative Jake Chambers and Eddie. I never did like the off-shoot of "Roland and Sussanah's love child" personally. I will admit that I was also sadden that Father Callahan had to die. The final climax was just anti-climatic in the worst sense. "It was just a dream" has never worked for an ending, never ever. Then again, it's hard to end a book series as good as The Dark Tower with an ending that leaves you feeling satisfied and happy.

Anything after the first Dune seems like it's going to be hell.

The manga sequel to the Kamikaze Girls novel sucks. Misses the point of the whole book.

the last harry potter books 7 really went nuts in the kill off department. 6 was a nest of what the fuck is going on. 5 was its a trap syndrome and 4 was pretty good. some its a trap syndrome going on but overall there where some plotholes. i read fanfiction but they pose some interestng points. so what happened to the wizards/witches debt owed to harry by ginny and herminone? i thought that was something that could kill you if you didn't pay up. also timetravel rules... which rules and how come no one ever really messes with them. really when you time travel you technically go outside the spacetime continum and aren't effected anymore by changes unless like in back to the future you stop your birth or something. sorry long rant but overall harry potter.

Mostly Harmless, really didn't fit with the rest of the The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy books.
Seconded. I mean, I like Eoin Colfer but he's no Douglas Adams. And that's what the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy series needs. It doesn't work without Adams and even with Adams books 4 and 5 were nothing compared to book 3.

Although, he did kill Frenchurch off because and this is a real quote "I'd had a terrible year." Now that's legendary.

The Bourne Supremacy

The first book was at least entertaining. This one was just... boring. Really, really boring.

The Amber Spyglass. First Two books, Stellar. That one? Creatures that move on wheels? Plot holes like no-one's business? Ugh!

Calumon: I don't read, I just play! ^^
I agree. My favourite was the first one. That was a great book. It went lightly down-hill from there (though the second was still good) until what you said about the third.

Fully agreed. And now we have another new one Crocodile Tears (just saw it). Jesus Christ...write another Diamond Brothers mystery book instead!

Wow, I'd almost forgotten about those books... they really were rather excellent.

The Wheel of Time. The first three were good, it went downhill from there, picked itself up slightly in book five and turned to complete and utter shite from #6 onwards.
