Tingle, or the fact that he kept returning.

Actually, while on the subject of Zelda

The Emperor in Oblivion.

Not only was he voiced by Picard but he had a unique way of talking compared to other characters...too bad he dies in the tutorial.

Umm... I'm not quite sure how a character can be disappointing.

I mean, sure, I can think of plenty of crappy or boring characters. Hell, I could think of literally hundreds, we are talking about video games after all.

But "disappointing"? Nope. I got nothing.

Yeah, pretty much this. Or else I'd list pretty much every game character ever with some exceptions.

Minsc in Baldurs Gate was a bit of a disappointment. He was supposed to be the breakout character, the one people remember. He even has a seperate page on wikipedia, whereas all the other characters just have a paragraph each on a single page. I found him to be okay, but he didn't live up to the hype, and he didn't hold up as well compared to the other people in my party. He was too one-dimensional, he didn't have that much memorable banter, and unlike pretty much every other character, he didn't get his own quest in Baldurs Gate 2. I prefered nearly every other character to Minsc.

The worst thing about Minsc is that there's a good chance he'll end up fighting Edwin. Edwin is ****ing awesome as shit, so Minsc nearly always goes. Luckily for us Keldorn, Korgan and (later) Sarevok are all totally cool and totally better.

The cast of Final Fantasy XIII. Why is Final Fantasy VI the only one that has a Moogle as a permanent party member?! I hate when my choices for party members consist of nothing but humans in any Fantasy game. Final Fantasy XIII was more sci-fi than fantasy but even then, why are there no alien party-members? Star Ocean had a humanoid cast but at least you got an Alien-Elf, a cat-girl, a cyborg and, an Angel as potential party members. FF-XIII has nothing but humans and Vanille.

I may not have been so hard on FFXIII if it was called something different like, Last Sci-fi or something.

This... Thing.

You start the game? WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH. Halfway through the game? WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH.

Then at the very end of the game, with absolutely no character development whatsoever, he suddenly finds his testicles. No character development whatsoever. Have I emphasized the lack of character development yet? Seriously, he just suddenly decides to stop being a pussy. Then he's not a pussy anymore. I mean what the fuck.

And that's not even so much as a one hundredth of the reason why Dawn of the New World was the worst sequel I've ever played.

I am a massive fan of Sazh, though. Sazh is awesome.

Fontaine from BioShock. After the big twist, he completely pales in comparison to Andrew Ryan, in fact I really think they should have just ended the game right there instead of dragging it on for two more hours of boring slog.

The Arbiter.
Not the character in and of himself but the way he was displayed in Halo 3, being pushed almost completely to the side as a sidekick when he should have been much more prominent. Granted he got some good moments but those were sparse.
The Arbiter deserves more than that.

Also, Ashley in Mass Effect 2. Again nothing against her character, just in the lousy way she was taken away from the main story, 'cause dammit she was my favorite female character!!
Here's hoping she's good in the third.

Finally, Killer Croc in Arkham Asylum. He looked so cool and so freaky and so monstrous, I was seriously looking forward to facing him and then... it was pathetic. Truly pathetic.
If there's any justice he'll be in Arkham City so that things can be done right.

That worm king guy from Oblivion, looked like a chubby man in a dress, also fought like one too... Major let-down

For me it's Nero from Devil May cry 4. He looks like a carbon copy of Dante, and is a real whiner to boot. I was relieved when gameplay switched over to Dante about half way through the game.

Fontaine from Bioshock...but only in the final fight. Seriously? 3 forms? What are we, playing Crash Bandicoot 2K?

Come to think of it, most final boss fights in games tend to be shit...

The Lich King, in WoW: WotLK

He was reduced to some mastermind that killed half of the world to Doctor Claw. "Next time, Gadget, next time."

His master plan was to sacrifice ALL HIS forces, that were well enough to conquer the world, just so that he could have ten guys at his command.
Yea, but those 10 guys just killed all of his other guys. Also, he didn't really sacrifice them. They were killed.

The entire cast of FF13...-face meet palm-
The the King of Crazy from Oblivion, his voice was grating and his craziness was overdone and beaten with a stick and a dead horse.
