First to dead last at my Uni's annual mountain bike race, 500m from the end. Why? Well there was this tree you see...
It wasn't really my defeat but the defeat of an opposing team on Gears 1. There was one guy left on our team and he was proceeding to lead the othr team along until he got the drop on one guy: chainsawed him, then leapt to the side and chainsawed another guy, leapt behind another guy, chainsawed him too. then he ran down the last guy who was trying to get the sniper, and chainsawed him too. This was on gridlock.
Mario kart DD, me vs. my friend's younger brother, who has never beaten me in his life, neck and neck in the final stretch. He gets a red shell and pulls an inch in front. Just to be sure, he throws the red shell at the moment we get to the finish line. The red shell hits me, throws me forward into the finish line before him. He hasn't played mario kart with me since.
Any time we come home from the bar and try to play Rock Band is an embarrassing defeat, not only for us but for all of mankind. We exhibit the classic traits of overconfidence (playing on expert while blind drink is a terrible idea), clumsiness (drum kit gets knocked down every time), and a complete lack of solidarity (every failure is singled out as SOMEONE'S fault, even if we all sucked collectively).
Any observers of this pattern usually take off home pretty soon after, shaking their heads in dismay.

It is generally frowned upon to misspell here; it's ok if you have trouble spelling but I recommend using a spell checker if that is so.damion559 said:
On topic: It was embarrassing to see a four man carrying rifles (and one laser rifle and pistol) capture a medium-large UFO on X-Com, for the aliens, that is.
I remember a search and destroy mission on COD4 once, I was last alive so I though it would be a good idea to throw a grenade into an enemy-occupied building, I move forward and my own grenade landed at my feet and promptly killed me; was more embarrassing that my whole team was watching and they had microphones.
Zombie Panic! Source on a custom map, 8 survivors in a room which you have to hold for 3 minutes, about 15 undead outside. Only entrance are two doors, both on the same wall, just one on the far left, one on the far right. I was helping to cover the far right, we had some crap stacked against it, and the zombo's had yet to break the door down.
They had destroyed the wooden planks blocking the door and were now pummeling the door itself to destroy it, each hit causing it to open a fraction before hiting the crap we had piled against it on the inside. A fraction that was just big enough for a grenade...
"Hey guys, watch this!"
The grenade missed the gap entirely, bounced behind our stack of crap barricade and blew the thing to smithereens, instantly killing me because I was too close, and causing the imminant deaths of everyone else.
I was server kicked for that

So I was playing some Mariokart Wii at a party at my friends house, and my incredibly blonde and ditzy friend Lauren saw the track Mushroom Gorge and said "Ohh! I love that one! I'll race you there!" Thinking it would be an easy victory, I accepted. If you've ever seen this girl play games, you'd know she wasn't great... but when it comes to Mariokart Wii? Apparently pretty good... I got my ass handed to me. She was in first the whole race, and I was nowhere near catching up with her. It was embarrassing, to say the least.
In the middle of a heated gunfight, you kill the entire opposing team, and then backpedal off of a ledge and die while trying to reload. oh... it happens...
